I looked for a thread and didn't see anything. I'm having a devil of a time choosing this month. What did everyone choose and if you already read it, thumbs up or thumbs down? I'm not sure how to link for UK or elsewhere outside the US or I'd pop those here as well. First Reads August USA

I chose In Our Likeness. I haven't been overly impressed with any of the choices lately.

Thank you for posting the link! I couldn't find the books. I kept getting books that weren't free or would be if I signed up for Kindle Unlimited. Off to look!

I also took In Our Likeness. None of the other ones appealed to me at all.

I chose Divorce Towers and the Hildebrand bonus short read. Haven't read either of them yet, but they sounded interesting to me.

I have often skipped picking one lately because nothing appealed to me. This month for some reason I wanted several. I got Divorce Towers but I haven't read it yet. Also the Elin short story, The Moonflowers and The House of Lost Secrets. The last three will release to me on 9/1.

I read Divorce towers... did not like it...
I finished it but the main female character admits to being a lying cheating bitch and then does it again...
The towers are like peytons place... i know they say that about old folk homes... stereotypically they have a lot of indiscriminate sex... that was true for this place...
I like "spicey" books....this was not spicey just old guys trying to get into every female they talk to...
If you haven't picked yet.. i advise against this one... if you already chose it... read it when ur really bored and nothing else is calling ur name...

Just finished a book that I didn’t like the main character (Olivia Strauss is Running Out of Time) and I don’t want to read another one right now. Thanks for the warning.
