Is there such a thing??!
I'm in the process of cleaning off my table so I can set up my new Empress on a turntable and get rid of "stuff" that has accumulated since the last card event I did. You know, all those little bits and pieces of paper/sequins/die cuts that I didn't use, that are everywhere. Things need to be put back where they belong.
I am AMAZED at how much DUST is everywhere. Dust and dog hair. It doesn't help that my table is dark brown/black and shows every speck. It's a pain to have to move everything out of the way, especially my Ott light, which has a round base with divided containers (dust collectors for sure). What should take me 10 minutes is taking an hour!
Any ideas for cutting down on the dust? I do vacuum every week (have carpet on the floor). I have a black lab that sheds like you would not believe. Everything is black/brown IKEA, and once I clean one thing, I have to move onto the next because you can really see the dust! I have air conditioning and don't open the windows at all, so no outdoor dust. My drywall must be disintegrating and slowly covering every thing with dust.
How do you keep the dust/dirt at bay? Do you have an air cleaner or filter running? Commiserate with me and tell me what you do to keep your space clean.

I don’t have a work space, but everything is stacked in containers at the wall of my small bedroom. I have a dust problem, but I’m also allergic to dust and dust mites, so it’s a vicious circle. Any tips other than constant dusting and vacuuming would be welcomed.

I have multiple microfiber cloths handy at all times for dealing with dust. It's just a fact that any place inhabited by people/animals is going to produce a lot of it. Keeping stuff in storage bins / containers / drawers can help, so there's fewer surfaces to dust.

I have always heard that carpet fibers can break down, adding to the dust factor.
We use an air purifier and the filter does seem to catch a lot of dust. I see less floating around in light streams coming through the window when I remember to run it.

I keep a cloth close by and wipe down as needed. The window in my room is almost always open.

I am allergic to dust mites (amongst a few other things), so I have an air purifier on the floor next to my bed, and one next to my desk in my office. Both run 24/7. I have two cats that shed like crazy, and very light colored carpet in my office, so I vacuum a couple of times a week. I dust my entire condo every 10 days, it does make a difference. It is tedious, no doubt, but it really helps! I live in the city, and windows are open during the summer, so I get quite a bit of unwelcomed "stuff" in my place as well. As far as the bits of this and that. I clean my desk and put stuff away after every project. I know, I'm nuts, but shoot, I can make an awful mess in 20 minutes flat! And there is nothing like having a cleaned off desk, even if just for a few minutes

I have a swiffer duster in my room and dust the desk, shelves, printer and fan off all the time. Vacuum once a week. Make sure to change the A/C filter every 30 days and maybe even do a duct cleaning done. I have some hanging plants for better air quality too and some even absorbs chemicals what I think its a good thing if you use paints and such.

ugh. Dust is the bane of my existence! No tips though - we live in an old house, carpeted, with windows open and no AC and I despise both vacuuming and dusting so I don't do it very regularly. So there is always dust.
Getting all the stuff put away I can do though. I make a mess but I clear away everything I possibly can on at least a daily basis. I have a small "clean" trash can for paper scraps so I can throw scraps in there and fish them out again if I decide I need them. That cuts down on some of the bits lying around.
Having places for everything (wherever you would look for them first, not necessarily the ideal places, just where you can find them) and building the habit of putting the stuff away back in those places, and most crucially not having more stuff than you can easily fit are my top tips.
