Good morning.
I have some tidying to do. Then I downloaded a new game and I will start the tutorial. Ods is stopping by for dnner. I might make ods chicken alfredo. It's a very once in a while food and dh has a fresh salad from the farmer's market.
What's on your menu?
sueg , how are you today? Are you feeling today? Are you comfortable and able to knit a bit? Rest well, dear Sue.
What's everyone up to today?
May today be happy, healing and calm for everyone.

Happy Tuesday! It's kind of a crazy day around here. My mom is still in the hospital (thanks for asking scrapmaven) and she may be coming home today but she's very confused. She kept telling the nurses she had to wake my dad up and tried to get out of bed to get him. My sister is up with her now and she's a little less confused and even joking about it, but she said it seemed so real that she was at home. I'm taking my dad to a dr appointment at lunchtime and then probably up to the hospital if she doesn't come home today. Not sure what dinner will be tonight. I've got to go pick up a grocery order this morning. Someone mentioned sloppy joes on the thread yesterday and that sounded good. I've also got chicken to use. Lots of options. Hope you all have a great day!

What game did you download? I am still playing DDLV and I bought a Switch a few weeks ago to play Luigi's Mansion but I haven't set it up yet.

I'm going to AquaFit this morning. We ended up taking a long walk last night instead of going to the pool. Crazy Rummy was fun but we found out one of our players was in a bad accident and is in the hospital with multiple fractures. Dinner will be Salmon with the usual sides. And also to find out the weather:

Dinner is undecided. I may make veggie pizza with salad. I have all the ingredients. Thought I was picking Luke up today. It’s the 1st day of preschool. But dd said the car seat that she chose is not safe so I can’t. 🤷♀️ Otherwise I’m working on jewelry and painting. My bff canceled condo clean out today. cadoodlebug so funny Plus we used a rotary wall phone.

Happy Tuesday dinner friends! Tearisci I hope your mom continues to get the help she needs, I'm glad it isn't worse for her. Hugs for you in handling her care and helping your parents. @scrapmave enjoy your new game and enjoy the time with your ODS. stormsts I went to Purdue and have a nephew that lives in Lafayette. I haven't been there in a few years though. Our neighborhood is having Google Fiber installed and today is my street's turn. It's noisy and a lot of traffic. I have an important call at 3, I hope it's moved on by then. DH will be home later today or tomorrow, I still need to make that grocery run. Dinner is undecided at this point. I'm leaning toward thawing some ground beef and making burger bowl/ salad, or maybe a baked sweet potato. Wishing everyone a great day!!

I'm picking my mum up in a little while and we are going downtown to the school board offices so that I can pick up my "retirement gift". I didn't attend the retirement banquet months ago because I wouldn't have known anyone ... I'm not a "joiner" ... the gift I chose is a bluetooth speaker ... no idea if I will use it but we'll see ... Anyway, gotta pick it up - they keep bugging me ... The rest of the day is free ... like most of my days! No idea what dinner will be ...

Good evening all, One last night of hospital dinner, then - all going well - I’ll be home by lunch time tomorrow. I am feeling fine overall - occasional weird feelings along the scar line and generally tired and a bit short of breath, but it is stuffy hot on top of just having surgery, so no real issues. I have done very little knitting, mainly reading and playing iPad games. It’s just too hot to even hold the wool and my hands get all sweaty.
DH asked what I wanted to eat tomorrow and I told him I want food that tastes like it was made just for me, just before I eat it, not institution food.

I'm having an off day. Woke up about an hour later than usual and feel tired, so have given up on the idea of a walk today. Hoping a shower will help shake the fog out of my brain. I am meeting a girlfriend for lunch and have 3 stores to hit for returns before or after, depending on how quickly I get moving. Two are for clothes I ordered online so I didn't have to try on in the store and could get the sizes I thought I needed. With one order, all of it is going back. I'm a little frustrated that my wardrobe is 98% leggings and tanks/t-shirts right now and can't find pants that I like and fit. The other 2% of my wardrobe is a couple casual dresses picked up to wear after the abdominal surgery but I'm not really a dress person. I really want to get back to wearing nice jeans and tops. Not only am I tired, I'm whiny. Since I'm going out for lunch, I'm calling for a fend for yourself dinner night.

Just back from my walk with DF. I needed to stop at REI to pick up a new tube and tire for my bike as I had a hole in the sidewall of my front tire...it was a few years old so not surprised. Hopefully DH will ge that fixed for me so I can go for a ride on thursday am.
Dinner will be more of the rotisserie chicken, along with corn and and salad.

The big excitement at the pool this morning is that a duck flew into the pool. Poor thing must have mistook the pool for the lake that is 50 feet away. Oops. This is the first time I've gone on a Tuesday so it was a new-to-me instructor and I really liked her. 55 minutes instead of 45 and she had us moving the entire time. It was chilly this morning, in the 60's when we got in the pool!

Today is our 36th wedding anniversary! We went for a 30 km bike ride and then out for lunch. We both had a grilled chicken club on a soft panini bun and it was delicious.
The weather is perfect today - sunny and hot but no humidity. Love it!
Not sure about supper yet.

Well, when it rains, it pours. I took my dad to a doctor appointment and his BP was scary low. They checked it twice and it was still low with a low heart rate. They wanted him to go to the ER for an IV but then saw that with his insurance, he could have home IV so we scheduled that for this afternoon. I took the afternoon off so I can go over there when he gets it.
They also wanted him to eat something salty so we went across the street to Shake Shack and he had some extra salty fries and a shake.
Not sure if mom is getting out today or tomorrow from the hospital. Glad there are enough of us children to go around!

Happy anniversary to Mr. and Mrs. Taylortroop. sueg , I hope you have a delicious dinner in your own home tmw night. bc2ca , I hope that you are feeling much better and not getting sick.
cadoodlebug, POPCORN! Cute that the duck mistook the lake for the pool. Tearisci , have they checked your mother for a possible UTI? The confusion can be a symptom at her age. I'm sorry to hear about your dad, but I hope that the IV fluids will perk him back up. Gee, salty fries and a shake. How I wish I could be on that medicine.

Gee, salty fries and a shake. How I wish I could be on that medicine. I'm not sure if they have tested for a UTI. She realized that she was mistaken with where she was but has seemed to get better as the day has gone on. My dad wasn't hungry but the doctor said he needed salty food so I sat him down and made him eat most of his fries. I felt like I was with a toddler haha. I'm just waiting for the IV people to call so I can go over there and sit with him.

Tearisci. Have them check her for UTI. This happened to my mother a few years ago. It was very scary because she couldn’t remember getting out of bed or if she took her meds that morning. And that was I think she was like 74 at the time because it was a while ago.
