Good morning.
Today I'm going to pick up my car at the tire shop and then I have to grocery shop and run to the post office. The rest of the day will be spent doing some chores and trying to move fwd on my latest video game.
Dinner will rechauffe fajitas from last night.
What's on your menu? This weekend will be a quiet weekend at home. Tmw am we'll go to the farmers market.
What does everyone have planned for the weekend?
sueg, how are you feeling today? I hope you're feeling better each day.
Wishing everyone a happy, relaxing, fun weekend. Thinking healing and recovery thoughts for those in need.

We're off to the pool this morning ~ me for my class, DH to swim laps and read. I got Wordle in 2 again today! DH says I need to buy a lottery ticket. I'm going to spend the weekend cleaning up my craft room/office. Looks like tornado alley. Dinner will be grilled tri-tip steaks. TGIF dear tribe!

cadoodlebug, I'm SMH. Dh had to explain the meme to me when I was so confused. I looked on Google, assuming it must have been related to a song. LOL. Ok, I feel stupid today. Enjoy your time at the pool. That's a great way to start your day.

Happy Friday!
I've got a fairly slow day at work but I picked up another social calendar so that is fun. I've got to go get my wine order at lunch but I really don't want to go outside since our heat index is going to be 112 today.
Yesterday, I was trying to get something from the top of my fridge while standing on a chair and I fell off and hurt my upper left arm. I didn't notice any pain yesterday but it's pretty sore today. I don't see any bruises though but it's a deep pain.
I'm not sure what dinner will be tonight and I don't care as long as I don't have to cook. I've already put a few feelers out about going out to dinner so we'll see what happens. With the week I've had with my parents, I want to have some fun and maybe enjoy an adult beverage or two.
Hope you all have a great day!

DD17 is cooking - sweet and sour chicken and stir fry vegetables. I might pull some leftover egg rolls out of the freezer as well. And there's leftover cantaloupe as well What does everyone have planned for the weekend? scrapbooking tonight. Grocery shopping tomorrow - DD17 has plans with friends so I'll actually get to do my own shopping (she's been doing it so to get more driving practise). DH is supposed to leave early Sunday morning for a business trip but as of yesterday that is up in the air. Hopefully I have a firm answer before I plan the weekly menu. I got Wordle in 2 again today! WOW! Yesterday, I was trying to get something from the top of my fridge while standing on a chair and I fell off and hurt my upper left arm. I didn't notice any pain yesterday but it's pretty sore today. I don't see any bruises though but it's a deep pain. ouch! If it doesn't improve, maybe get it checked out. well, my dd and her wife got in last night Enjoy!

Tearisci I hope it is nothing serious. ntsf enjoy your time with your family. It is a slow work day. I have a conference call in a bit then I am leaving for the day. Going to run a few errands and stop at the grocery store. DGD's are spending the night tonight. Soccer season starts tomorrow for the grands. 5 out of 6 are playing this year. I think we are attending 5 games for 4 kids this weekend. Going to try and avoid town as much as possible this weekend. Classes start at Purdue on Monday so it will be a crazy weekend. The girls have requested spaghetti tonight. Easy peasy.

Good evening all,
DH went back to work this morning while the cleaning lady was here, then came home just around 2 to drive me to the hospital to have my stitches out. I had to wait a while, but now they are gone and I can wash my hair normally. I did find out I can’t have my hair colored for the next 3 months - I had meant to ask but forgot, so I’m glad the nurse remembered to tell me.
Our weekend will be pretty low key here as I don’t want to overdo it. I’ll decide Sunday morning how I feel about church.
Dinner tonight is going to be home made pizza. We buy a kit with the dough and tomato sauce, then add whatever toppings we want or need to use up.

Another quiet day for me. I have a hair appointment this afternoon and then meeting up with my bestie for a walk along the waterfront.
DH was supposed to go for lunch with a buddy but he cancelled due to having some dizzy episodes. His cardiologist recently put him on an additional blood pressure medication. Every time he goes to the dr, his blood pressure is sky high. But he takes it at home regularly and the numbers are good. Definitely white coat syndrome but the cardiologist doesn’t believe him. We think the dizziness is related to the new meds so if it doesn’t stop, he will need to address the issue. Never a dull moment!
Supper will be rechauffe pulled pork fries.

sueg, enjoy washing your hair. After surgery the smallest things feel like heaven. Tearisci, can you ice your arm while you're working at your desk? That might help the swelling and pain. Feel better. taylortroop, I hope your dh gets his meds sorted out, so that these dizzy spells go away.

That fall sounds exactly like something I would do Tearisci! . Glad you are OK! It is cool and threatening to rain here today ... makes trying to stay awake difficult! I have managed to unload the dishwasher and do two loads of laundry ... I'm not sure how I will fill the rest of the day until I pick up my girlfriend ... we are doing dinner and Netflix tonight What we eat and what we watch are both to be determined! I don't have any weekend plans other than to go to my mum's retirement residence for dinner on Sunday ... they are serving roast beef with Yorkshire Pudding! Yum!!

My DH has white coat syndrome, too, taylortroop. They always retake his BP again at the end of an appointment and it is significantly lower. I'd be annoyed at a Dr. doubting his home numbers. Hope he gets to the bottom of what is causing the dizzy spells. I have dinner halfway made - potato and green bean salad is done and the hatch chili marinading pork chops will be grilled at dinner time. I'll get DH to do that because I'm meeting DD at Costco around 5 to pay for her contacts. She can go in and get her eyes tested without a membership but can't buy anything. I am going to a yoga class in a few minutes and then will spend the rest of the day slowly puttering around and clearing off a few disaster zones. Mostly the dining room table and guest bed. A cousin's DD has been working in San Francisco for the summer and is touring the US before heading home to Scotland. She and an Australian friend are staying with us for a week so the guest room is the priority.

Dh left early this morning. I got up and got ready. I’m trying to decide if I feel good enough to drive to the post office and to Starbucks. I really want an iced vanilla latte!!! My back/leg pain seems to really amp up in the car. Update on my back situation. All of my PT appointments have been canceled and I have an appointment with the spine surgeon on Wednesday. I can’t wrap my head around that this is happening again. Dinner is going to be leftover pizza. sueg enjoy that hair washing!!! @leanne I’m going to Netflix it tonight too!! I hope I can find something good to watch. Have a good day, ladies!

@leanne I’m going to Netflix it tonight too!! I hope I can find something good to watch. Have you already watched the series about the Dallas Cowboy's Cheerleaders? "America's Sweethearts" I think it is called ... soooo good! I don't know what we are going to watch ... we love all of the real estate shows (Selling Sunset, etc.) and I think there is a new London one so maybe that! I hope you are able to watch comfortably and I am sending positive thoughts your way re: your back!

Happy Friday dinner friends! What a week! I'm not sure if I missed something and hate to ask, but I haven't noticed jeremysgirl on the thread this week, I hope all is ok! sueg enjoy your shampoo, ah the little things in life! @the Birdhouse Lady I'm so sorry you are facing surgery again, I hope you experience immediate relief! I'm soliciting prayers and good thoughts for a precious 10 yr old that had sudden brain surgery a couple of days ago, He is the son of close friends of my son and DIL ( and us as well) They fought so hard to adopt this little guy when he was 3 and has done so well, earlier this week he woke up complaining of not feeling well and a headache, within 2 minutes he was incoherent, vomiting and diarrhea. They immediately took him the hospital that is about 2 miles for their house, he coded as they walked in the door, he was stat- flighted to Dell Childrens and was in OR within an hour,There was fluid pressing on the base of his skull and I'm unsure of more details, he's on a vent in a medically induced coma for a few days. He'll have an MRI today, but they won't know if there is permanent damage until he gets stronger. He's the same age and good friend of my grandson. My Daughter in law set up a meal train and We are all trying to do what we can for them. A precious hard working faith based family. I'm prepping to run to the store to pick up a few things, Dinner will be determined when I'm there. Tomorrow my son, DIL and Grandson are coming over, DH and DS are going to do a couple of tasks that I've been asking to have completed for a while. A permanent outlet in one of my pantries for the cordless vac and the secondary door into the garage to be fixed, the screws keep coming loose. DH should have addressed these a long time ago, you know how that goes - Actually I hope you don't :-) I'm making a stuffed pork tenderloin, baked mac and cheese, salad and cream brulee. Wishing everyone a great Friday and weekend ahead!!

Hope he gets to the bottom of what is causing the dizzy spells. For some reason I developed White Coat Syndrome about 3 or 4 years ago. Not horrible numbers but above what is normal for me. My PCP encouraged me to get a home monitor so I send him my results every 4 or 5 months and he notes it in my chart. taylortroop, I'm sorry the doctor is doubting your DH.

I'm not sure if I missed something and hate to ask, but I haven't noticed jeremysgirl on the thread this week, I hope all is ok! I'll go back and read the thread. But Tuesday morning I posted that thread about my work situation. So Tuesday and Wednesday, I only had the mental energy for that thread and what was going on at work. Yesterday, my mom posted a cake she had made for family dinner on Facebook. The cake sounded gross. However, I just felt like I got a gut punch because well, I'm no longer invited. So kind of everything swirled around all week. I had arranged early in the week to stop at my mom's today on my lunch and drop off a Sketchbox for Chloe. I wrote out a card for her too, just things like love you and miss you. And I realized that I was clenching my teeth. I had been wandering around all morning. So I thought maybe a manic episode was coming on (not a shocker after the emotional week I had) and I messaged my mom to say I wasn't feeling well and would not be coming today. I sat back down and did more work. And then I realized I was starting to feel better. So I think I just was nerved up about seeing my mom. I stepped out at lunch time and went to the thrift store. I got a new pair of shorts, a tank, and a salad spinner for $10. Now I'm feeling a bit better and I checked in here to see this message. Thank you for caring. My week has just been harried.

I think I'm just going to have a sandwich. Honestly, I've been eating nothing but sandwiches and cowboy caviar for like three days. What does everyone have planned for the weekend? We have tickets tonight to see a band called The Insiders. They are doing a Tom Petty tribute show. It's local, like 5 minutes away and the tickets were like $20. Jeremy is tired. I kept him up all night finishing Harry Potter. I was up until 11:30! Shocking. He's in there napping right now. We've decided to play the concert by ear and if we don't feel like going, not go. We aren't out much if we don't go. The rest of the weekend, I think I'm going to read and quilt. I've got another small throw quilt planned out. And I have two new books. I need to get to the store too. Dh had to explain the meme to me when I was so confused. I'm still totally confused. If it's some song lyric, I'm just not getting it. And I'm usually pretty good with music. Yesterday, I was trying to get something from the top of my fridge while standing on a chair and I fell off and hurt my upper left arm. I didn't notice any pain yesterday but it's pretty sore today. I don't see any bruises though but it's a deep pain. Nice to meet you soul sister! Soccer season starts tomorrow for the grands. 5 out of 6 are playing this year. I think we are attending 5 games for 4 kids this weekend. You are a good grandma. That's a lot to commit your weekend to. to drive me to the hospital to have my stitches out. I had to wait a while, but now they are gone and I can wash my hair normally. This is wonderful though. Healing going on. That fall sounds exactly like something I would do Tearisci! . Glad you are OK! Nice to meet you too, my other soul sister! All of my PT appointments have been canceled and I have an appointment with the spine surgeon on Wednesday. I can’t wrap my head around that this is happening again. I'm so frustrated for you. You went through that huge surgery. I, too, am blown away you may need another. I'm soliciting prayers and good thoughts for a precious 10 yr old that had sudden brain surgery a couple of days ago, A prayer has been sent.

Take deep breaths and know you're doing exactly what you should be doing! I'm glad to see you back at the table! Thank you everyone for the good thoughts and prayers. oh well.

I'm still totally confused. If it's some song lyric, I'm just not getting it. And I'm usually pretty good with music. "My girlfriend set fire to all her outstanding bills." "What is her name again?" "Bernadette" (burn a debt) Get it now?
