I've had my Empress for a couple of months now and I have used it several times. Today it did something it hasn't done before. The sandwich goes in and stops about 3/4 of the way through. If I hit run again, it continues going all the way through.
I'm using the basic sandwich, Plate A, magnetic mat, die face up, cardstock, Plate A. I'm using the same dies that I've used since I got it (I'm making a bunch of the same card) and sometimes it goes right through and sometimes it doesn't.
It's not a problem to hit the run button again, but I'm concerned if this might be the start of a larger problem.
Anyone have a similar issue?

I've only used mine a handful of times but this has never happened.

I've used mine for a week now, with no issues. It does make a clicking sound as it rolls past the die, but it does continue to go through the slot.
You should contact Anna Griffin. Hopefully they have good customer service!

I have had my Empress almost a year and I have had this problem a couple times. There doesn’t seem to be any reason for it to stop (just a normal cutting job, nothing thick or hanging out the sides). It doesn’t happen that often though. I have some hand problems and use my Empress quite a bit. I love it!

I have had my Empress since it first came out and it is still working fine. I had a similar problem once or twice when I used a brand new magnet mat for the first time. After a few passes with the new mat everything was good,

Thanks, folks. I'll keep using mine for a bit longer and see if the issue resolves itself. If it continues, I'll contact customer service just to ask. It's working fine despite the small hiccup.

Mine is starting to act similarly. It's a great machine. The company has terrible customer service though. Try and buy the plates elsewhere!
