Ladies I'd love to get a trail cam. I'd place it in our backyard/wooded area.
We tried one I had gotten from Amazon. It wasn't reliable. It didn't always hook up to our wi-fi.
Any suggestions?
If it makes a difference we have Spectrum wi-fi in the house. I am on a MacBook Pro.
Thanks!

If it’s too far from your wifi network it’s not going to work that way. In that case you need one that has cellular capability. The ones my DH got for the woods at our hunting cabin are Browning Scout Plus trail cameras. There is a monthly charge for the cellular service to transmit the photos it takes to your phone or iPad plus I think it saves them on a SD card too.
ETA: I think the service is $10-12 a month. ETA2: We don’t have any internet at our hunting place other than spotty cellphone hotspots so we had to go with something cellular.

I’ll be checking out the suggestions as I’d like to know what creature ate my entire tomato crop!

I’ll be checking out the suggestions as I’d like to know what creature ate my entire tomato crop! You can sprinkle cayenne pepper over the plants. Most animals dont like it. There is also a product called Critter Ridder (I think) at Lowes. Check to bottle to be sure it is ok near food, but animals hate that as well. You would need to put that on the ground around the garden.

I’ll be checking out the suggestions as I’d like to know what creature ate my entire tomato crop! Hornworm probably ate the leaves and maybe stems. Birds and rabbits and a rodent or two got the tomatoes-they like them at the first tiny hint of a blush of ripeness! Best to pick them then and ripen on the counter. diatomaceous earth, neem oil and BT should organically take care of those like green mister horn worms nettingover the plants or net bags on the tomatoes help with the beastie birds, bunnies and rats/mice making dinner out of them

We have: Cuddeback 1279 20Mp X-Change Color Day & Night Model Game Hunting Camera with Mounting Bracket and Strap,
We are taking photos of animals that are very near the camera. Our first photos were washed out as the flash was too strong. We have taped a sunglasses lens over the flash to "tone it down." It is made to capture the animals at a long distance, so the flash is very powerful.. I purchased it at Amazon.
Our first game camera was a Moultrie (purchased at a sporting goods store). At that time, it only gave B/W photos. We like the Cuddeback's color photo feature. I THINK it can use wifi but where we place it is too far from out wifi to be used.
