I have never had luck making Bundt cakes. I've only made them a few times, and they never really come out of the pan nicely, even when I used Bakers Joy spray to get in all the crevices. I am making a cake Saturday for my mom's birthday, and I want to make a strawberry pound cake that is in a Bundt pan. There are so many different ones on Amazon, I have no idea what to get. There are a few that are a little fancier, but they also have more crevices which makes me nervous. Do you have one you love that the cake comes out of easily?

Williams Sonoma gold tone bundt pan is the absolute best. It is a genuine Bundt pan. I've never had one better. Cakes come out perfect every time.

USA Pans are my favorite. I don't have their Bundt, but if I was buying one today that is probably what I would get.
Their pans are hand wash only and you aren't supposed to use cooking sprays on them. Everything slides right out.

I don't see a williams sonoma one on amazon. I do see a USA one, though. Maybe I will try that. It does make me nervous to think about not putting anything on it. LOL

I think the Williams Sonoma pans are Nordic Ware. That’s the brand I generally buy.

LOL Yeah, you are probably going to have to get a Williams Sonoma one at a Williams Sonoma store or Williams Sonoma PanMy mother has about 45 different Nordic Ware ones and has never had an issue with them, but she does advise, use butter and flower not Bakers Joy

but she does advise, use butter and flower not Bakers Joy I agree. I tried Bakers Joy once and threw the rest of the can out.

Also key is the timing of the unmolding. Wait about 10-15 minutes and then unmold it. If it sits too long, the sugar will start to crystallize and stick to the pan.

I didn't know about the no sprays rule when I bought my first product from them, a muffin pan. It's still a good pan, just not quite as slick as before. I think it is just the sprays that are an issue, you can still butter/flour if you want. I do occasionally with the round cake pans and the 9x13 for brownies.
If it makes you really nervous, you could do a test run with a box mix.

Nordic Ware is what I have and haven’t had any issues. For pans like that I usually mix up some of that cake goop and that works great for greasing pans. It’s equal amounts of vegetable shortening, all purpose flour and vegetable oil (whatever quantity you want just use equal parts, you can store the excess in a mason jar in the fridge for later use). Blend all of that together until it’s a liquid that you can paint on the inside of the pan with a pastry brush. It works great and the cakes release perfectly every time.

Ours is vintage, so it's not something I can suggest for anyone to go out and buy. It was something my mother-in-law was given when she first got married, and by the time I got married, DH did far more cooking & baking than his mother did. Add to that I love vintage things, so she gave us a several items from her kitchen, including her Bundt pan.

That is the key, a good releasing agent. I have a cast iron one and use that recipe. My mom has a gold one from Williams Sonoma I think and she just uses regular spray and the cakes practiclally jump out of the pan. It is amazing. Mine I have to be careful to get every nook and cranny.

Nordicware plus cheap/aldi nonstick spray for me. Although I used to have terrible luck until I bought a silicone bundt pan. That was a game changer...always a good result. I just wanted a really pretty one so I got the nordicware one.

I always use Pam spray and never had a problem. My Bundt pan is a cheapie I bought at WM on vacation because my granddaughter wanted to make Monkey Bread. I use it for Bundt cakes (with Pam spray) all the time and never had a problem. Good luck!

I love USA Pam’s but I do spray them with nonstick spray before using. I’ve not had it hurt any of mine. Cake goop is the best of your worried about sticking. Just mix to get equal part shortening, veg oil and flour. Smear it in all the crevices. Let the cake cool 15 mins or so and then flip it out. If you let it cook too much it will stick.

I have the gold tone one and it works well, but it was stupidly expensive for a bundt pan. Tip: If you're buttering and flouring a pan for a chocolate cake, use cocoa powder and it will look nicer.

Thanks for all the tips and ideas! I got my USA pan yesterday. It's such a nice pan! Now I want all USA pans. LOL
I'm going to make the mixture of flour, oil and shortening and cross my fingers! I will let you all know how my cake turns out!

Thanks for the goop recipe - I had never heard of it and have always used Pam or just butter! Kind of makes me want to go get a new bundt pan.
