Have managed to avoid it for four years. Not sure where I got it, but it's going around at work. I must be the third or fourth person to get it recently.
Trying to get interested in making some cards as I now have all this "free time"...... What's up in your neck of the woods?

My sister — I tested positive for the first time Tuesday afternoon. What’re the chances?

Shakti, I can barely stay awake today. Today is day 2 for me, tested positive yesterday morning. Did you get Paxlovid? I believe I have a mild case, just headache, tired, and metallic taste in my mouth.

I did not get Paxlovid. I am on vacation two states away from home and can’t imagine how I would get it and my case seems very mild, so it doesn’t seem worth the risk of relapse.
I mostly have a runny nose and headache, some body aches and tiredness. The sore throat, which was a key factor in my deciding to test, subsided about 24 hours later, yesterday afternoon.

Feel better and get lots of rest! Maybe watch some Christmas project YouTubes. I've started my cards. Here's the final design. I'll probably make one more other design. I don't send out cards like I used to. Christmas Card #1

I got covid this summer after my vacation. I was quite sick for 2 weeks. Sneezing- coughing- runny nose all the time puls the 9 hrs time change and working probably didn't help. I never had fever and not even temperature thats why I thought it was allergies at the beginning. After my hubby got sick , we tested.
I hope both of you will have a mild one. Feel better!

Thanks, I'm now on Day 3 and am feeling better. Fever is gone. A little tired, but not like before. Hope to play with my cardmaking supplies today.

Hope you all are feeling back to your normal selves soon. Dh, ds, ds, and I all finally got Covid in February. It was ds then me then dh then dd. All 3 days from each other. I was freaked out about dd as she has a primary Immunodeficiency but she did the best out of all of us. I believe her IgG infusions helped. Good weekly boosts.
I was the worst of the bunch as I was rushed to the ER and found out Covid caused my potassium to dip very low. It's a rare side effect of Covid. So I had a ton of ekgs, fluids, and was given potassium.
Be careful of second infection. 2 weeks after Covid I came down with bacterial upper respiratory infection and sinus infection.

Thats terrible. I always get secondary sinusitis after any kind of cold, but this time I used Navage and the amount of yuck come out really surprised me. And I used Xylitol nose spray too. No secondary infection.

How're you doing today, MDscrapaholic? I hope you're on the mend! I think I'm the same. I mean, I feel a little worse, but I think I might just be sick and tired of being sick and tired, yanno?

I'm feeling fine Shakti , I think I ended up with a very mild case, or otherwise the Paxlovid did its job. I have no fever, headache or cough. I have to test tomorrow to see if I'm still positive - not sure if I can go back in the office if I am. Rebound infection sounds scary - hoping it doesn't happen to me pantsonfire . Anything we can do to prevent that?

Thanks, MichyM. It's not rough so much as long. It feels like a head cold. Not a really mild one, but not a super severe one either. If I were exactly this sick with a regular cold that weren't Covid, I would describe myself as on the mend and sure to be 100% tomorrow. But every morning I wake up and feel exactly the same. No sicker. No better. And I'm finding it depressing and discouraging. IOW, I'm probably making it harder on myself or something....

Hope you feel better. If you don’t have any other health issues, you should be fine. Ask your doctor about ivermectin.
