i went to Disneyland a couple of days and pick up a couple of halloween decorations. so, yes, we have started.

I love orange and just got a new orange throw that I love and have been using from my FabFitFun box. I bought some new fall kitchen towels and plan to pull them out this weekend. I bought a new corduroy jacket today in a fall rusty brown color. I need a bit cooler weather for that.
I am ready for summer heat to be over but know we have a couple of months yet.

I’ve added sunflowers to some of the red/white/blue I had out from Memorial Day/4th of July/Olympics. I usually keep that out through Sept 11th. Then I’ll start adding some pumpkins/leaves, but I don’t do Halloween really until someone else on the street does. I’m a follower like that lol.

I used to always decorate for fall on September 1st and then add Halloween decor to it on October 1st. But it’s still hotter than the gates of hell right now and we’re leaving tomorrow on vacation so it’s not going up this year for a few more weeks. Kids are back in school and it’s starting to get dark a tiny little bit earlier. But nope…still blazing hot.

We have fall stuff up year 'round. We have some decor from our wedding that's fall themed, some fabric pumpkins from the craft store, and a "hello fall" banner I made on my Cricut last year that we never took down.
DH also bought a Universal Monsters blanket at Spirit Halloween earlier this month, so that's been on our bed since it was bought and washed.
We love fall.

While I love fall, I also love my little pool. I have picked up a couple of new pumpkins from Walmart and a battery-operated candle from Aldi, but I'll refrain from decorating until after Labor Day. After all, I'm in the south and here is our planner. We did have some delicious cooler days last week. But here we are.  |
