I just saw an ad that said they were having a contest and if you donated you would be entered to win airfare to have a meet and greet with the presidential candidate and their VP running mate.
Is this allowed? Sounded a bit odd to me.
Thanks for enlightening this not so versed in politics pea.

I mean, it is a random chance for a person to win airfare to meet the candidates.
It isnt the same as someone throwing their support behind a candidate in order to get a cabinet position.
It isnt the sane as a corporation making a huge donation in exchange for tax cuts in the future.
I know which things Im more worried about.

When I posted and asked the question, all I had seen was and ad clip that airs prior to a video. All it said was for a donation you could win the trip. |

It’s not uncommon for having the chance to win if you make a donation to something. School fundraisers for example. I’ve seen parade of homes things where you make (a very large donation) and are entered into a raffle to win a prize.
