Yeah, I'll set some traps. And I had to throw away our sausage balls making, homemade granola making and puke bucket/bowl. That's a bit extreme, a run through the dishwasher or a bit of bleach would be all you need. And that's if you're really worried about it.

Well frankly if that mouse decided to invade MY space, all bets are OFF. I'd probably be filling that tub until he drowned. Sorry, Not Sorry. It's a freaking rodent and they multiply by the thousands very rapidly. No reason to spare it and 'set it free'. This. And if he found his way into the house once, he will find his way back, unless you are setting him free pretty far away.

I found a mouse in my washer. I trapped him in some old Tupperware, and walked him to a nearby field. Poor little fellow was terrified. I called a pest exterminator to look for tiny holes where he might have come in. I pitched the Tupperware.

My cat puts mice in the bathtub.. we've not had one in a while, but she's always done this ever since she was just months old and caught her first mouse. We live on a farm surrounded by fields and woods and a creek.. but yeah she's always put em in the tub, typically she's already killed it by the time we discover it, but I mean at least the tub is easy to wash and disinfect, carpet is harder..

The snap traps work, but the sticky pads work better. The 1st apartment we were in, the fall before we moved there was construction going on the block behind us. We ended up being taken over as it got colder. There were days that I would come home from work and just sit on my bed. There was one night that I woke up because I heard something and a dam mouse was crawling up the light lamp trying to get on the nightstand. Mgmt decided they were coming through the heat registers and filled the holes but they were still getting in. Came to the point that we would catch them on the sticky traps and drop them off with mgmt who was on site. We ended up moving out of there a month early and gladly paid double rent for the old and new apartment for the month just to get out of there.

I think a snap trap is the way to go. It is over and done with. A sticky glue trap will leave the creature stuck and crying out until it dies a slow death.

ITA w/the cat trap. I have 2 indoor cats. They would go apecat if a mouse showed up to play. Before cats we used the wooden Victor traps w/a dab of peanut butter against the wall. I should say Dh did that. We had a mouse on two separate occasions.

Burn the house down. Obviously. I'm sure many will disagree...but just put a bunch of snap traps in the tub. Throw the trap and mouse away then bleach the shit out of the tub. times a 1,000

I should say Dh did that. We had a mouse on two separate occasions. It feels more "fair" to me, I hate cruelty to animals and could never do the sticky traps. Snap traps are bad enough but at least it's over quickly. My mom put out poison once, when we were between cats, and it was traumatizing to me and my sister to watch the poisoned little mouse dying on the floor. We cried and she never used it again. We got another cat. 😻
