Good morning.
After yesterday's whirlwind day I'm super tired. So, I'm staying put and resting w/my puzzle. PT was really helpful and voice was great.
I'm not sure what's for dinner. Dh has rechauffe chicken piccata or chicken Florentine. If he wants something else then I'll happily make it for him.
What's on your menu?
How is everyone doing today?
What's on your agenda today?
Have a delightful today!

Happy Tuesday!
Another pretty boring workday until the first of the month when we start running reports. I'm going to push hard for more social clients this month because I really enjoy them and they make the days go faster.
Only Murders In The Building starts back today so I'm trying to use that as my carrot reward for getting some things done around the house before I watch. Glad my favorite show is back!
Tonight's dinner will be rechauffe chicken spaghetti since I made enough to feed an army and my parents weren't interested in it. I'll freeze whatever leftovers I end up with so no biggie if I don't eat a lot of it.
I hope you all have a great day!

Hi scrapmaven! You were busy yesterday. I've been very busy with work this morning. And then I have a full afternoon of meetings. Wah, wah. Seriously it is so hot here right now. I'm melting. At least I don't have to work in it, Jeremy is out there delivering store to store and he's hot and tired. (Complains a lot...but I get it.) So yesterday he called his mom and asked her if we could come over and swim in her apartment complex pool. So that's what we did. It felt so nice. Then he went and got takeout from a place that makes custom salads and stir fry. We ate with her and then came home for bed time. Tonight we will make the remainder of the shish kabobs. I could also make a sandwich or some barley, lentil and kale soup. It feels too hot for soup, though. Otherwise, I just need to clean up my scrapbook stuff on the dining room table. Do a few dishes. I have a book to read. I have a quilt to work on. we will see what I end up doing. He just may want to go back and swim some more.

Yesterday's Crazy Rummy was fun and I won a prize for being the biggest loser. Some days the cards are in your favor, yesterday they weren't. Although, when DH and I played 5Crowns last night, I beat him in both games. There are 11 rounds in each game. We might have salmon for dinner, I need to go to Raley's and decide. It's going to be 95° today but get a tad cooler towards the weekend.

Tearisci , I can't wait to see Only Murders. We'll wait until the whole show drops and that will be our nightly watch. I just finished Dexter and Dexter New Blood. Very good show. Michael C. Hall is a fantastic actor. jeremysgirl , whatever you decide, I hope you have fun after work. Swimming sounds fun, but so does quilting. Dinner will be yummy, no matter what you make.
cadoodlebug, sounds like a very fun day, yesterday. Congratulations on being the biggest loser?!?!?! Hehe

Happy Tuesday dinner friends! scrapmaven You deserve a low key puzzle day. jeremysgirl Jeremy had a great plan for your afternoon. I'm glad you had a little cooling relaxation! Your list of possible to-do's sounds similar to mine. I have followed your co-worker saga and sympathize with you, I can totally relate, we had an account coordinator( assistant) that was worthless, they finally fired her, we also have another member on our team that is such a busy body, interupts everyone, chimes in on every note and e-mail, drives me crazy, we've implemented a new process for our renewals and she asks for confirmation that she's doing it correctly every step of the way. grrrrr, I don't mind helping someone, but I'm super independent and want to learn, she wants to depend on someone to carry her. Also, she's constantly having appt's and blah blah, updating us on every little thing, I want to tell her it's ok to go potty without notifying the entire team. Tearisci I need to check out Murders in the building I keep hearing good things about it. DH is home from the ranch, We went to our local mexican hole in the wall joint last night, So tonite will be Salmon and grilled veggies. That's it for me for today. Wishing everyone a great day! We had rain yesterday and again this morning. We needed it and while it's cooler, now the humidity is super high.

Big fan of the Dexter series! There is a new origin story coming out from his early life so that should be good as well!

austnscrapaddict , have an easy work day and I hope you'll have some fun afterwards. My cozy, at-home day has been cancelled. Apparently, my labs were off and I have something more than post-covid. So, I have to get another lab and chest x-ray. Sounds like an antibiotic will do the job, but the doctor needs to know what to treat. Pffft.
Tearisci, I read about the new show. It'll be interesting to see how Dexter became what he is. I hope they'll do a show about his son. I was not a fan of the ending of the original series. Nor was I a fan of the series ending of New Blood. I'll put this in a spoiler so that people who want to watch, but haven't see it won't be spoiled. I wanted to see him face to face w/Angel. It really sucked that they teased it and it never happened. Plus, he's Dexter. He doesn't die. He always gets out of it.

Happy Tuesday! The day is starting off sunny, but more rain expected later this afternoon. Yesterday was a mess! DH's 3 pm procedure didn't happen until after 6 pm! So after seeing him very briefly in Recovery I didn't get home until 9 pm. Not helping was that the dinner I grabbed at the hospital didn't agree with me. Pretty sure I had a case of food poisoning, so while he was in surgery I was in the ladies room sick as a dog. Fun times! Add in the dog's surgery (which went well) and it was chaos. DD was able to pick up the dog, bring him home and feed him dinner. Then she checked on him again after her exercise class. By this morning he'd managed to take off his bandage, but as long as he isn't bothering the stitches the vet says I don't have to bring him back in. Hopefully the pain meds will keep him sleepy today. Today I've got a few errands to run, visit with DH and then get home at a decent hour this afternoon. Planning to get in some sewing time this evening. Not sure what dinner will be. My stomach will dictate what I have, something simple and bland most likely. scrapmaven - What a bummer! I do hope that whatever they find is something simple to fix. jeremysgirl - I can never eat soup in the summer here. It's just too hot. Soups are for fall and winter here.

Oh **GypsyGirl**, the last thing you needed was food poisoning. ARGH! I hope that you feel much better today. Sleep doggie, sleep. Do they try to avoid the cone 'o shame nowadays? Friends whose doggies have had surgery tell me that they have other things that work and aren't as annoying to their dogs. Have an easier day and I hope that your tummy is fine.

austnscrapaddict might be a good thread to start here on crazy coworkers. 😂 Just buy her a megaphone for Christmas. **GypsyGirl** that's an awful way to end a crazy day. Hope you feel better soon scrapmaven I know that's not what you were expecting but maybe there's a solution here with an antibiotic that can get you back on your feet again.

Good evening all, Today I had a nail appointment - I had to have my acrylics with deep colour off before my surgery and I managed to make it by to Saturday before deciding I needed them redone. They are still short - which I prefer anyway - but are a pretty mauve now. After I was done there, I made an appointment at the Thai massage place next door for Thursday afternoon. This afternoon I’ve done a bit more vacation planning, including digging out my annual travel insurance documents to check on the policy dates - it’s due for renewal a few days before we leave for Venice, so I have time to get on to them about that. DH is out for dinner with a work group tonight, so I am going to eat the leftovers of last night’s curry. **GypsyGirl** - I hope both you and your DH are feeling better soon

Hey all - just popping in to check on everyone. I'm going to try and make something healthy for dinner. With my son back at school, I need to cut back on all the family favorites that seem to all be high calories before my beach trip in a few weeks! Healing thoughts for all that need them!

Oh scrapmaven! What a bummer! Hope the antibiotics do the trick! Oh **GypsyGirl**! What a day from Hell! Hope today is much better! I have someone coming over this afternoon from FB Marketplace to purchase another handbag ... Michael Kors this time at a rock bottom price! My mum is coming over later than that to hang out and then we will go to the local pub for their "Taco Tuesday" special ... so good!

It sucks that you need more tests, scrapmaven, but always better to know what is happening and treat it. **GypsyGirl**, you are definitely being challenged from all sides right now. I'm glad your DD was able to help with the dog and hope there are no surprises today. I had a great appointment with my dermatologist yesterday and contemplating the best route to go to encourage hair regrowth. She did want me to confirm a couple things with the onc team so I'm waiting for call backs. As I type, I'm on hold with my PCP's medical group to request a call-back within the next 5 days to get an annual check-up scheduled. Then I'm running to Costco which isn't far from their office so might swing by and see if they can do anything in person as this call-back system isn't working very well. Dinner tonight will be a herby (mustard, tarragon, mint, parsley) sole & vegetable (asparagus, zucchini, peas) dish that I serve over rice.

Thanks for the responses yesterday about my luggage dilemma. To answer someone’s question, the backpack that I previously purchased is too big to comply with the airlines dimension requirements. It needs to fit underneath the seat. Because I’m not checking any bags, just taking a carryon, I figured a backpack for a personal item was a better idea than carrying a purse or tote bag.
I took my mom to the eye dr this morning to change some appt times. I’m the person who drives her to her appts and since I won’t be around for 2 of them, we needed to change them. We tried to call for two days and the phone system was down. And if you don’t cancel with a certain amount of notice, they charge you. We got it all organized and now she can stop stressing about her appts.
I got an email today with itinerary changes to my cruise schedule. It was just some time changes due to “voluntary whale speed restrictions”. I was happy to see that NCL is protecting the whales.
Supper is rechauffe chicken and salads.

Thanks ladies. This is not serious, by any means. It's just a tiny infection, probably sinuses. No big deal. taylortroop , I sailed on NCL many years ago. Though things change w/in the cruise industry it was a lovely cruise and we had a lot of fun. You truly have something to look fwd to.
leannec, does your local police station have an exchange program for stuff like FB Marketplace? That way you can sell the purse in a public and safe environment. This mama is thinking of you.

Hi friends! Seems like a good minute since I've poked in on here.
Dinner this week is pork chops and a veggie. I wasn't able to find the ranch dressing mix the recipe called for (and I didn't want to go to multiple stores), so I made a combination of Italian breadcrumbs and some other spices, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. (Then again, it's hard to go wrong with those seasonings, cream of mushroom, and beef broth.)
Last Friday, I had 3 different appointments: eye exam to make sure the blood spot on my eye is going away fully (it is, and I figured it'd be a quick appointment, but my eyes are abysmal, so best to be safe); dentist appointment for the first time in forever (which revealed I need a teeny filling -- boo! I've never had a cavity!); and back (again) to my primary care physician because I have either another sinus or another ear infection. Maybe a little of both.
Even my doctor is like...well, it looks okay, but hurts... I want there to be something wrong so we can treat it properly, but I don't want you to be hurting. Me too, doc, me too. So I'm on Cefdinir til the weekend, and I'll send her a message Thursday to let her know how I'm doing. She asked me if I thought maybe something went slightly amiss when I had my sinus surgery in 2018. Definitely hadn't considered that. I didn't ask her, but I also wonder if something like an infectious disease doctor could help since this seems like it happens every month. I can also ask my ENT when I see them in October. So fun times all around.
DH is also hopefully applying for a job tonight. He's been working on his resume throughout the past few days. We just don't want to get too excited since we all know what happened in January when we did.
Anyhow, enough rambling. I should probably get back to work...

I have been selling items on a couple of websites for years ... never a problem ... I live in a safe city!

Big fan of the Dexter series! There is a new origin story coming out from his early life so that should be good as well! We loved Dexter. sueg my sister went to the Dolomites before going to Venice this month. We skipped the Dolomites She wanted to but her family vetoed her. Venice was only really busy in StMark’s square and by the bridge. Then by late afternoon all the cruise groups were gone and we didn’t have any issues. jeremysgirl my niece & her dh just moved to Grand Rapids a couple months ago. No one knows why. They don’t have jobs there. He works 100% from home. They don’t know anyone there. I always walk in on him belittling her so I suspect he may be verbally abusive to her. I really hope I’m wrong. I hope you find your dream home in Ludington. Dinner is corn on the cob, baked sweet potato and salad. I had a hair appointment, Poppy had a grooming appointment and I had to run errands for my sister. I really want to get Luke but I don’t have a car seat. I live north of daycare and their house is south so I’m not driving 40minutes to get it.

Enjoy your relaxing puzzle day scrapmaven ! Seriously it is so hot here right now. I'm melting. At least I don't have to work in it, Jeremy is out there delivering store to store and he's hot and tired. Yeah, I have to try not to complain about being hot in summer, because I'm either sitting in an air-conditioned office or in my cool house. DSO is working his arse off outside in the heat all day every day. **GypsyGirl** you poor thing, that sounds horrendous! I can't imagine being that sick in a public place, and not being in the relative comfort of your own home. What a nightmare. I hope you're feeling better now. cadoodlebug that meme is hilarious! We had a beach massage yesterday, and there were a lot of cracks and moans & groans as they tried to manouvre our bodies into positions they're not used to being in. I need to cut back on all the family favorites that seem to all be high calories before my beach trip in a few weeks! Hmmm, I said the same thing before this trip. First of all it was "How much weight do you think I could lose in four months?" Then three months, two months, one month, and finally, "How much weight do you think I can lose in one week?" Answer: NONE! We had so many dinners and lunches out over that time, I had no hope. I wish you better luck (or should I say willpower) than I had. I can never eat soup in the summer here. It's just too hot. Soups are for fall and winter here. Speaking of soup - that's what I had last night! And a curry, even though I am in a hot and humid tropical location. I had a coconut chicken and lemongrass soup, and a Massaman beef. I still eat hot food most of the time in summer. I'm not really a cold food or salad kind of gal.

My dd's and I went to the spa during our "Staycation" ... I love massages! ... I scheduled us for a massage, mini facial and foot scrub ... I literally slept through almost the entire experience! ... I'm assuming it was wonderful but I don't remember!
