...and of course fell in love with some of the products. This video was emailed to me by Hero Arts, so of course that is where the products are from. I toddled over there and selected the three items I wanted. Total was $29 US. Going to be more in Canadian $, but I was happy with that. Hit PayPal and had trouble getting it to go through. Turns out Hero Arts wanted a physical address instead of our box number. I filled that in, and a new total popped up, with shipping included. My three little packages were going to cost $49US to get to me!!!!
I backed out of the site. But now I am sad. I had already felt those dies and stencils in my hand...

I have made a few purchases with the shipping to Canada $25-30US I must have REALLY wanted that stuff. UGH. I havent had anything $49US (that is like $71 CAD!!!) except those sale boxes from SS or class kits (and I usually back out bc of that). I try to split with my friends here when shipping is that high to help out.

That’s how I feel when I see things from the UK. The shipping is crazy.

But I am going to try a search of Canadian craft stores to see if any of them brought in the HA August release.

The Papercrafter's Workshop (craftersworkshop.ca) also has HA - I see they have some new stuff from them in right now: www.craftersworkshop.ca/shop/Whats-New/New-Arrivals--August-2024/Hero-Arts-Holiday-2024-Shop-Box.htmScrapnstamp.ca carries them, too. I've had great service at all 3 stores. I'm sure you have a list of good ones, too.

For those of you outside the country, my offer to ship also extends to you. If you find something you really need and cannot find locally, just reach out any time and we'll figure it out.

Yikes! That's why I don't buy from Create 'N' Craft, based in the UK. Shipping for each order, no matter how small it is, is $19.99 US. I guess that's OK for large orders, but if I want to order something for $10 US, I would be paying twice that for shipping. No, thanks. International shipping is even more crazy than domestic. That's also why I ship only within the continental US when I sell my jewelry.

Oof! That’s the worst. Apparently our happiness while shopping is at its peak in the moment where we’ve decided to buy and we’re just about to pay but the money is still imaginary and so are any downsides to our purchase. To be yanked out of that moment with a ridiculous shipping charge hurts a lot. I hope you can find someone local selling what you love. You’ll have to tell us what you were looking at. JMcG is masterful at crafty temptation.

Thanks. I have ordered from them before. They have the dies I wanted, but not the layered stencils. I might just order the dies anyway. I am sure that in my stash I can recreate that snowy background Jen created. Shakti for the win! Peeking Winter Bear.
Apparently our happiness while shopping is at its peak in the moment where we’ve decided to buy and we’re just about to pay but the money is still imaginary and so are any downsides to our purchase Exactly. Somehow the joy of USING the new item is never quite up to the IMAGINED joy when deciding to buy...
This morning I received an email from HA reminding me of the items left in my cart and saying they were selling out fast. I replied (it was from their customer service address) and told them why I was not ordering. Don't know what that will do, but thought it was worth letting them know.
