Grapenuts is one of my favourite cereals but it never occured to me to put it on ice cream. I usually put craisins in it.

I buy Grape Nuts to sprinkle on my yogurt and fruit. Without it, it just lacks something. The crunch makes it perfect. I have tried various brands of granola, but sometimes their flavors compete too much with the yogurt and fruit too much. Plain old Grape Nuts is predictable. I have never considered putting it on ice cream though. Well, I so rarely eat ice cream, and if I do, it is either Rocky Road or Chocolate Peanut Butter, neither of which would be improved by the addition of Grape Nuts.

I love Grape Nuts, but I don't like interfering with the texture of ice cream by adding anything crunchy to mine.

i used to eat that back in the 70's- lol. Also I would do a little crackling brand on the ice cream as another option. I forgot all about this!! Thanks for the reminder

I haven't done it, but I can definitely see the appeal. It is something I used to add to yogurt for the same reason.

my grandpo used to put grape nuts and other cereal on ice cream. He'd have a big bowl of it at night

I love something crunchy on my yogurt, but never thought about Grapenuts cereal. I buy a box of Nature Valley crunchy granola bars and hammer them into little bits and then store the opened pack in a baggie so it doesn't go stale. I don't know why I never thought about putting it on ice cream, either, but I will give it a try. I will also look for Grapenuts cereal on my next shopping trip!

Only way I've ever remotely enjoyed them. Got them on WIC in the 90s when I was pregnant and didn't want to waste them so put em on ice cream and yogurt..
