I came across this article as I was searching for a Crafter's Companion product and couldn't resist clicking on it. I am not really a fan of their products but I do watch her shows when HSN has craft days. I thought they were doing well with all the products she presents. It was interesting to read about the issues that crafting companies are facing.

Never heard of it and if they sell on TV, that's probably why.

I'm sorry to hear that. I enjoy my Crafter's Companion products - though I admit I haven't bought anything on HSN for quite awhile...

It was a TV marketing program that got me into this papercrafting hobby 25 years ago. Scrapbooking looked so simple, even a guy could do it ... if he had enough money.

It was a TV marketing program that got me into this papercrafting hobby 25 years ago. Does anyone recall the Cricut infomercials? I think I was up at night with a little one and those would be on. I was fascinated. They made such clever things. And the little chirp sound as they went through each new amazing thing it could do. And the price! Well, after watching it over and over - it was a little shady. LOL The 'price' got the machine to you and then you paid the rest after you got it (small print) lol. At the time it seemed to be WAY to expensive to even consider such a thing. I was pretty tight with the budget back then and wouldn't spend on much other than food. I finally bought a Cricut Expression years later and then moved on to a Silhouette, but now I really don't do any crafting, and I have the money and time to do it! Go figure!
