Never had this happen before, but I returned two purses for my mother to Amazon that she didn’t want. She just got a note from Amazon saying that she’s getting charged for one of them because it was never received. However, I have the receipt from UPS that it was sent. Should I just get online for she’s 87 years old and I can talk to customer service that’s the route to go anybody know?

I would just get on their chat and tell them what you have. I would think with a receipt from the UPS store they wouldn't question it.

Were they from 2 separate orders and you returned them in one box? Amazon returns cant handle that. 🙄

I took them to UPS and it printed off a label. Receipt that they were sent on the same day. I will pretend I’m my mother lol

If it's the latter then maybe the two items got into two different shipping boxes. At my UPS they often have several large boxes on the floor behind them for Amazon returns. They just toss the returns into a box until the box is full, then they seal it up and ship it back to Amazon. So maybe your two items were separated at that point, and now one of the large shipping boxes hasn't arrived back at Amazon yet.

Same thing happened to me with a Whole Foods return which I accidentally selected instead of Kohls. 2 separate items, receipts for both and one made it and one didn't. I return a ton of Amazon returns to Kohls and have never had that problem and between that and the parking lot at WFs being a trainwreck makes me avoid at all costs!

The UPS I went to has a kiosk as you walk in and you scan the code on your phone and it prints out a label. Then you attach it to the packaging and drop it in a box/slots. Welcome to my world. They have a nasty habit of even after they say they receive the item, they turn around and say that they didn't receive it. I normally just ignore it because it is usually an error and they "magically" find the item. Last time, nope. They charged it. I got on chat and tried to explain and they eventually gave me my money back.

I accidentally did this but said I would return it to Kohl's instead of UPS store. Mind you, I selected 2 things at the same time, one was going to Kohls and one to UPS. WHAT? Trying to get them to fix that was a NIGHTMARE. It wasn't as simple as cancelling the return because their stupid app wouldn't let me do that and everyone I spoke to said they couldn't help. I finally threw a fit and demanded to speak to a manager who eventually fixed it (it took over a month)

My UPS store has told me that they commingle all the collected Amazon returns together for shipment. I think this is how things can be missed when they are processed by Amazon. We always get a receipt because of this practice.

I also have 'digital credits' for Amazon, because I choose a group shipping date, etc. But where to find it on their site or app to redeem! I can never get to it. But if I google it, I can find a link to go right to it. Amazon can be so frustrating anymore. The super slow shipping with Prime is my major gripe. I have to figure about a week on everything, so I just choose the 'prime day' shipping to get digital credit. It is usually the day it would get to me anyway. And returns! LORD! I do not have Kohls, Whole Foods or even a UPS store within 2 hours of me. Around here, you mostly see people trying to resell any Amazon stuff that didn't fit or wasn't quite what they needed. It's easier to throw it up on Marketplace and just try to get some of the money back that way.

I always choose the reason for the return is that it didn't arrive on time. This will always get me a free UPS label. I can send those packages right from my work, since UPS picks up here everyday. I'm not sure where I heard of this trick, but I love it!!

I have a Whole Foods about 15 min from me, a UPS store 1 minute from my house, Kohl's is 10 minutes but a PITA to get to and now we have Amazon Fresh that just opened about 5 minutes from my house. They are all return points for me.
