donna was a long time Pea who was taken from us long before her time. Her last scrapbooking effort had been to complete her kids' albums before time ran out. Many Peas, coordinated by jenjie and myboysnme , helped with that project. A Pea we have not heard from in a long while, kiwigirl , set up this challenge to keep DONNA's memory alive. So now we honour Donna's memory by getting our own photos into scrapbooks while WE have time to do that. Each month we set a challenge to get those photos glued onto pages. And we also have a theme Theme for this Septmber DONNA challenge: Back to School! In North America the kids are heading back to school or off to college. But if you or your kids/grandkids are NOT heading to the traditional classroom, maybe YOU are taking a class in person or on line. Many crafty weekends are coming up. If you don't want to scrap the class itself, maybe you would like to demonstrate what you learned in this class--or any other. Hey, my Dad used to ask us every day when we came home "Well, what did you learn in school today?" If you don't have a new crafty skill to show off, maybe scrap about some of LIFE's lessons you have picked up over the years...
This challenge is open to anyone, but if you are a member of a challenge team looking for points: ONE point for EACH photo you scrap in September, 2024, no matter the theme. TEN points for meeting the September Donna theme on your project
I am waiting for back to school pic's from my dgk's. Will get a sample up when I have those in hand.

grammadee - does this need to be an official back to school type thing or can a school activity count? I've already scrapped back to school this year but I do have Senior Picnic photos still to scrap or I could dig around and find some back to school pics from a previous year

I love this grammadee ! I don’t think I ever thought to take last day photos of my kids, but if I remember I’m going to ask DD to take some oF DGKs. I like how you used the torn bits of your paper at the top and bottom and the flow diagonally across the page. |

Sorry I have not been back here for awhile. Linda, your Seniors' picnic looks like a fun event. So glad your dd shared these pic's with you. Great choice of papers and accents. Love how you focused on the large group activities in the one LO and then the close ups of friends in the second. Love that you included YOU in the back to school themed pages, justjac. There is love in the Gallery. |
