Here's the debut video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdsUvBMxYxMThank goodness for the long weekend! I'll pull some papers today and be back tomorrow with the process video, a set of cards, and a bonus challenge, but I thought others might want to take a look today and get their own creative juices flowing....

Half a sheetload. I ran out of my base card stock (Michael's Recollections). I have gotten another pack, but now I'm tired and may or may not finish the set today. They're pretty close to Crafty Al's. My die cut is a little bigger, so I thought I could skip the embossing, but I did mean to add some sort of bling or dots.... Crafty Al and Karen each mentioned some variations -- Crafty Al put a larger white piece on the inside while Karen mentioned leaving the accordion fold flap unsecured (except that that one piece is too narrow). Are there other variations in the fold or how the patterned paper is cut and applied that would use the paper more effectively? Or can you use scraps instead? Try one for the bonus points!

Kind of losing the light, but I persevered!
Most of the card charities want lots of room to write on the inside. Bring Smiles to Seniors being the exception, that's where these are going!

Great cards Shakti. I love your pattern papers and your big sentiment. I haven't had a chance to play with this sketch yet,but I'm planning to make 6 cards with a sympathy theme. I like the simplicity of this sketch for that and I like that the message could be short. Do I understand right that you want us to play with the fold for the extra challenge? I wonder if you could fold it inward and make a pocket to hold a gift card.

Thank you, azcrafty. Where I'm going with the bonus is varying the fold and/or the trimming of the PP. For instance, if you were going to put a white panel on the inside as Crafty Al did on one of her cards, could you cut the large PP smaller and the one tucked inside the accordion fold larger so that you could leave that flap free? Folding in different directions than the sketch, like you mentioned to make a gift card holder, would be another one. It just struck me as the kind of sketch where there could be a bunch of different little tweaks to mix it up.

I’m halfway through watching the CT videos (I usually have them on in the background while I craft) and I noticed that Creative Chelsea had her cards left open in a z-fold without worrying about that one piece being a bit narrow. It looked fine. But I was definitely thinking about making the inside piece narrower for more writing space.
I’m not sure if I’ll make this as a mini-slim or adapt it into an A2 or what.

Here are my cards. I made only 6 and decided to make them sympathy cards.

They’re really lovely cards azcrafty and I think the smaller writing space is perfect for sympathy - I don’t usually know what to say so I keep it very short.

Those are adorable and the colors are so cheerful! Is that holographic paper matting the sentiment circle on the front? Just lots and lots of fun. Thank you for sharing!

Good morning, fellow SLoC fans! As we look forward to CARDtober and the October sheet load, I have a bit of a conflict. The 1st is a Tuesday -- my busiest day of the week. I will be hard pressed to find the video and open a thread, never mind starting to consider my project. I can probably start the thread Wednesday but won't be able to post a set until at least Friday, maybe Saturday.
If anyone else would like to jump in and start next month's thread, I promise to look before I leap, so to speak, and not create a duplicate. Even if I do manage to be the Pea to start the thread on Wednesday, please don't stand on the ceremony of waiting for my set to post yours if you complete before I do. Heck, regardless of who starts the thread, AFAIAC, whoever posts the first set can choose and post the twist challenge!

Great cards justjac. Love all the colorful gnomes. Are those ephemeras or did you have to fussy cut them?

azcrafty they are from Photoplay a couple years ago and they would make a whole sheet of elements that matched the stamp set, so if you had the dies for the stamp set, you could also use them on the elements. I think maybe grammadee had the dies and I just bought a sheet of gnomes with sentiments and cut them out with her dies while we were at a crop.

We have different styles so its nice to borrow stamps to make something specific but don't have to buy it. I always saw those pages but didn't feel like fussy cutting. Good to know that the dies will die cut them.

TBD whether I will have a Sheetload to share right away but I’m sure no one minds. Don’t worry about it on your busy days! I’ll set a reminder to look for the video. I don’t think I ever got around to posting my one off A2 version of this month’s Sheetload in this thread. Sept share by jo.blackford, on Flickr Sept share by jo.blackford, on Flickr
