Has anyone else started using this as a deodorant? I started using The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% as a deodorant about a month ago. So far it really has worked well! I squirt a little on a cotton pad and wipe my underarms after my shower. It has really worked well. I haven't had any issues with anything else, and it has eliminated any BO odor. I have been finding that my deodorants were not working anymore. I tried Extra strength formulas, etc., and changed different brands, but nothing seemed to work all that well anymore. I had switched to Donna Karan stick deodorant, and that does work fairly well. But the days I do a lot of outside work I get pretty sweaty and funky. The glycolic acid lowers the PH and helps reduce the bacteria that smells. It is not an antiperspirant, and I am not looking for that. I'm not in an office or indoor setting, so sweating is OK for me - I just prefer not to stink But I am here to report that it has worked well for me. I do not have super sensitive skin, and I know it can bother some that do have senstive skin.

I will try that because it’s too harsh for my face.

Hmmmmmm.......I use it on my face, so I have some to try!
I, like you, just need some odor control. NBD if I sweat, just don't want to stink. Regular deodorant is too scented for me and is hit or miss on body odor. I tried Lume, and it works wonderfully for my stinky feet and summer leather sandals, but does nothing for the underarms.
Thanks!

Interesting! For me, I absolutely can’t stand or tolerate the sweat or the stink so it’s Mitchum for men unscented roll on. No stink, no sweat. The second I start feeling swampy I have to change clothes.

Looking at their website. Are you talking about the exfoliating toner?

I have seen the recommendation on Tiktok a lot. That and using Panoxyl face wash on the armpits to help with odor.

I use it for my face, never heard of it being used for this. I'll give it a try next time I go for a hike because my usual deodorant has been becoming less effective. I switched to Lume for a bit, usually just switching between the two for a week or so works for me. I don't like the sweating so I prefer to use my Dove go-dry spray, but I have to give it a break every once in a while.

I use it in my face…I could try it underarms - I don’t usually wear deodorant - and I oddly don’t sweat or smell (I swear!! lol)

I’ve been using the original deodorant kind on and off but really need something that also prevents sweating so I’ll be looking for this to try.

I don't like the smell of Lume, no matter what "scent" I'm using. You'll have to let me know if you like this! Plus, you can buy it at Walmart now.

I never tried the original scents that some people complained about but I have used the unscented and the toasted coconut of the “new” scents and haven’t found either one to be off putting at all. It’s much better than swamp ass or swamp boob stonk, LOL. In fact, for me even the scented one doesn’t stay scented for very long after applying it. I’m not a Wallyworld shopper but if Target or Walgreens gets it I’ll definitely give it a try and report back. Target sells the deodorant type already, so maybe they’ll get it. I swear, I can detect the humidity level of any given day by how far up from the band my bra gets sweaty even on a relatively cool day with a breeze. The girls get swampy and I hate it.

Yes it's not the scents that I don't like, it's the smell of the base or whatever. Every scent I've tried has the same basic smell to it. I haven't been in Walmart in a couple years but I needed a couple things I know they carry, so I went inside and was surprised to see a Lume display. I thought they were still online only. I rarely go to Target either. In the past two years work had me so busy I don't think I visited any store in person more than once or twice, besides Kroger and a couple craft stores!
