jeremysgirl I have always wondered what kind of temperate the water is there. Do people swim? Anyone use jet ski or wave runner? Or is it mostly a lounging beach? That picture looks so relaxing. Yes people go swimming in the lake. We did too. Lake Michigan in this spot is fairly warm in the summer. Jet skis and paddle boards, kayaks, all of that is used on lake Michigan. Temperature of the lake can be variable but I haven't found that it's too cold for a 75-85 degree day. Next week we will be up in Traverse City camping. Sleeping Bear Dunes area. And if the temperature is above 70, we will most likely venture into the water. But too, our temperature gauges are probably different than a Californian's would be. I have never attempted it but it is my understanding that Lake Superior is significantly colder.
