scrappintoee I’m sorry to know you are in such pain, both physically and emotionally. When my mom passed, I also felt conflicted about her final months in a (very good) nursing home, but over the years I’ve come to accept that she was receiving the best care possible and needed at that point in her life. I hope you will reach this resolution as well one day soon. Please do come and post and don’t withdraw completely into your pain. Sometimes just knowing you have friends who care about you can make all the difference in a difficult day.

scrappintoee I'm sorry things have been so hard. I love your Beatrice. What a sweetie. I know there are a range of care facilities, but I will say where my parents are is wonderful.

My husband passed away a year ago August 21 and I miss the staff and residents there. A lot of them became like family to me. I told them sometimes that if I ever had to reside in a nursing home it wouldn’t be there because I wouldn’t want them to see me naked! Ha!! LOL! Ohhh, I KNOW what you mean! . I said the same thing about having major surgery in the hospital where I worked.....no way were they going to see me naked !!! More (( hugs )) about losing your husband. What a strange coincidence---we lost my dear Dad 2 years ago on August 21st, too. Sadly, my siblings don't want to talk about it, and just pretend nothing is sad.

All of your fears and and concerns are completely valid. Your dad, Sophie and Meaty are so lucky to be loved by you and they knew without a doubt that they were loved. That's all that really matters in this life, loving people (and dogs!) Sending prayers for peace and comfort for you. sunnyd....Thank you . ....this made me cry.

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

On another "wheres the pea" thread, someone asked about maryland. I text with her and our girls go to the same uni, so I let her know the peas were missing her. She is still here but got signed out of her acct and cannot seem to log back on... I need to help her, hopefully the next time we are in person!

Anyone who refers to another person as “the ugly one” in their family is not someone I will ever miss.

Anyone who refers to another person as “the ugly one” in their family is not someone I will ever miss. Oof. That isn't cool. She can be harsh but that crosses the line for sure. I am sorry that was said to you. As the black sheep of my family and who doesn't resemble her siblings it hurts when things like that are said.

But that’s a shitty thing to say about anyone.

I see Julee pop up liking a post on IG occasionally. I see pjaye on Reddit. Neither is a prolific poster.
