I don't think I've ever purchased anything from this brand before. I ordered two individual sheets of a paper from one collection. One sheet of pattern paper is shiny and the other one is not. Is this a typical Reminisce thing? Are all the paper collections a mix of shiny and not-shiny paper too?
Just one of those 'wish I could see the paper in person and not have to buy it online' moments.

UGH! I'm not the target audience & have never purchased Reminisce, but this explains the contradictory feedback on whether its paper has a glossy finish. Like you, I also miss the in-person scrapbook shopping experience.

Ok, I do own a Reminisce paper collection, the Hot Cocoa one. I forgot I had it unopened stored somewhere, and I just opened it and none of the paper is glossy.
The two pieces of the Rockstar collection I bought the one that says 'live in concert' is glossy, but the one with the cut-aparts is like regular paper. So weird...

I have not bought much Reminisce but I have one sheet that is glossy and two sheets that aren't.

I buy Reminisce for the colours and themes. Don't really pay attention to the smoothness of the finish. Seems to me that glue works just as well on either one, so I don't really worry about it. Behind a page protector, every page has a shiny look as you flip through an album.
Is the difference between the more photo realistic papers and the other designs?

It's just weird to me to have glossy and not glossy in the same collection. Neither is photorealistic.

I am a theme based scrapbooker. Reminisce is one of my favorite brands. Been a favorite for years, until >> something has changed. Lately....last few collections, couple years-ish are not the same as it used to be in years and decades past Lately their collections seem different. Maybe they changed or added anew designer(s) Some of the colors, styles, the whole collection, etc... are very different from the past collections, years and decades. Now it seems to be a mix of matte and glossy, abstract patterns, off the wall-bizarre, a mix of realistic images and altered images, etc.... Not sure why they changed. Used to be, that I could not wait for their new collections. Now....the past few collections, I have been extremely underwhelmed. I still buy, if there is something I like....but that is few and far between. In the past I would purchased more than one of the same item.
