That’s probably a strange question, but we haven’t had to buy any in 20 years. Our last house is one we had built, so we had to buy all of the curtain rods. Our current house had them when we moved in, thankfully! They matched our esthetic, so we never changed them out. With our upcoming renovations, we are changing all hardware and accessories to brushed nickel/silver from oiled bronze.
All that to say, where is the best place to purchase several rods? We need 6, one being rather long. We need a good deal without buying the cheapest thing out there.
Thanks!

Watching this thread, as I am also in the market for a few curtain rods. In the new house, all of the main level windows (and most of the upper level/bedrooms) already have really good window blinds, but our master bathroom has one big triple window above the tub that seems needs something. I'm probably going to check the Company Store, and some others like that. I'll report back if I find anything worthwhile.

Most of our rods are from Ikea. They used to have a flexible piece to use for corner windows but last time I looked they weren't carrying it anymore, so I bought from Urbanesliving.

I'm going to buy the track system that attaches to the ceiling to hide our boxes in the basement as there is no storage space. I thought that would be a good and cheap solution.

IF you have access to the beams you can use rods with the brackets attached to the beams. I know someone who did that for her alcove and attached the brackets to ceilings/beams. Think sheets or drop cloths for 'curtains'...

I've been getting them at Home Depot or Lowes.

I haven't had to buy any in awhile. I would usually get them from Bed Bath and Beyond or Penneys. I haven't been in Penneys in probably 10+ years.
It's not something I would want to get online--I would like to see it in person. Maybe Lowes the next time; they have more decorating stuff than Home Depot.

This was what I was going to suggest. Something came up, and I couldn’t post right then. While I order a ton of stuff from Amazon, some times I like to see the items in real life. Then, if I decide to get it from Amazon anyway, I will be more informed about what I want and what won’t work for me. It’s exciting to do a renovation. Enjoy the process. 😊

I would check Home Goods or TJ Maxx first, then Amazon. They can be pretty expensive but if they have some you like at those stores they will be considerably less expensive.

I am very happy with my rods from Target. I've gotten curtains from Amazon also that I love.

I've purchased curtain rods from Target and IKEA over the years and have been very happy with them. I like a substantial/thicker rod with a traditional finial, nothing fancy.
I once bought one from Pottery Barn online because I liked the finial, and it was thinner/cheaper looking than the ones I got from Target/IKEA.
It helps me to see an item like this in person vs. ordering online.
