You all recall me whining (I know, I know...I whined for sure) about the dearth of Hanukkah supplies last year, yes? I've fallen in love with the font they used for this holiday sentiment set, but I only really need the Hanukkah ones. www.simonsaysstamp.com/collections/amazing-new-products/products/simon-says-stamps-and-dies-big-holiday-words-set847bhMy email (subject was The Longest of Longshots): Hello,And yes, this will be a very long shot, but, if I don't ask, I'll never know. It is a challenge (to say the least) to find card making supplies with a Hanukkah theme. Finding sets with fonts that have a lovely and contemporary flair to them is nearly impossible. The new SSS Big Holiday stamp and dies set fills that void. It is gorgeous!I wonder if you might consider making a small, separate stamps and die set for your customers that just include just the Happy Hanukkah, Sending Love and Light, and (possibly) the Peace sentiment as well? If that can't be done, if your office is done making samples with these stamps, would it be possible to just purchase them from you?See, I told you. Longest of longshots. Anyhow, thanks either way! Lauren
I was so pleasantly surprised to have an email from Heidi in my inbox first thing this morning that said that she thinks it is a good idea and that they're going to see if they might be able to swing production of it to coincide with Diecember. Everything crossed. Anyhow, my point to this is that possibly SSS has taken the criticism they were given last year about Hanukkah inspiration, etc to heart. I actually stopped shopping there for a while in silent protest, BUT...I didn't hold out too terribly long, they make some cute stuff and I'm back to being a (very $$$) supportive customer. With this reply, they're moving back onto my "good" list Please do reach out to them my Jewish friends (and those who make Hanukkah cards) if you wanna see more Hanukkah supplies. The more people who contact the designers/manufacturers (in general), I'd imagine the more receptive they'll be to meet our needs.

Good for you. It never hurts to ask. All they can say is no. Or ignore you. Glad they didn't.

Well, good for you!! That is very inspiring, and a reminder to ask for what you want. I don't make Hanukkah cards anymore, but I will email SSS anyway to ask.

Oh, that’s sweet, but not necessary, honest! I just meant that we should reach out to manufacturers if we have an idea that they might be able to accommodate. ❤️

What a fab idea. I am always impressed with Altenew ,making sets in different languages and to celebrate the holidays of different religions. They also have sets with different spelling - mum instead of mom for us Aussies.

That’s great! We often assume they should know what we want, but they probably have no idea if we don’t tell them/ask.

Ha, you should have just heard me go oooooooaaaaaooohhhhh. Buyer #1? Check. Bummer is I really need nothing from no one (was very nice to myself craft-wise last month), so I’ll likely have to pay shipping for it all by itself 😕 ETA: all I really want is the Hanukkah word die. I’ve got plenty of “happy” stamps. However, if that stamp set includes the phrase “sending love and light” I’m in. ETA again: I scrolled through the photos and it does! Happy happy, joy joy!

MichyM , Gina K Designs is going to offer a new set of stamps for Hanukkah - I saw her post on Facebook this morning. Set for release October 15th. "Good morning friends! Ready for more sneak peeks today? Although I don't have a kit this month, I do have five stamp sets and two of them are available as bundles. The first one is one that has been highly requested and I am truly IN LOVE with this! The new Love and Light set is perfect for all of my friends who love to make Hanukkah cards! You will love how elegant this set is and we've given you both Hanukkah and Chanukah greetings for our more traditional friends. The beautiful drape of beads and stars actually go on for more than you see in this peek, and they will fit across your whole card! They are also separate stamps so you can use the beads for Christmas cards by hanging ornaments instead. And there is a delicate Menorah and dreidels to create backgrounds and more. AND, there are coordinating Poly-Glaze sheets for all of the greetings so you can make your card sparkle and shine! Available as a stamp set only or a stamp and die bundle. Coming Tuesday, October 15th at 7:00 PM CT to ginakdesigns.com. ❤"

Ooooohhhh, thank you BOTH! I love that she did the traditional spelling of Chanukah. That’s how I grew up spelling it. The whole hanging thing is pretty, and not traditionally something I’d think of for the holiday. I think I could have fun with it.
I bought the KW sentiment stamps and die set. I think I may have to get these too, though I may not get to using them much this year. I’ve got plans with two sets that I used last year and still want to play with.
I am thrilled to see companies coming out with more stamps and dies. And now stencils? Be still my heart.
ETA: I just went to the GinaK IG and there’s no mention of this release. Did you both hear about it via email from the company?
