I like this - so easy to just put a blue dot in your window if you didn’t want to make a yard sign.

We have a Blue group on FB here in AR. They've been talking, ordering, wearing and placing blue dots for a couple - three weeks. We have mainly felt like we can't put out there what we want for fear of vehicular and house damage. Verbal assault in stores.
A few braves folks have worn their Harris/Walz shirts or the ,la shirts and thank goodness, it's been fairly uneventful. A few rolled eyes and such. One lady on Tiktok, from AR, said a white man told her she was brave wearing that. She asked him why? Why did she have to be brave to wear something like that. He should think on that.

I find this very interesting. In the Seattle area, it’s the exact opposite. I have a few long time friends who are on the red side and they have told me that feel like they can’t share their true political opinions for fear of retaliation.

I would love to wear clothing or put a Harris/Walz sign in my yard. I'm afraid to. And I live in a so-called Blue state. I haven't posted anything on FB to show who I'm voting for. I had read that on FB about the woman who was told she was brave for wearing that. And I loved her reply! But I had read she answered "How does that make you feel knowing that the party you align with is so dangerous that you think I'm brave for wearing this shirt? Think about that!" That makes me think that maybe I could wear a shirt supporting VP Harris. That I should. I might order one today!

I saw this. It is more about voting for what is right more than red or blue (it just helps that it is blue). I thought about putting up a sign but I live on a cul-de-sac and everyone in my area is solid blue so it doesn't really make any difference. We had a canvasser show up and ask if we were interested in voting for Hogan and my dh told him no and the guy just politely left. We actually really like Larry Hogan. He was a great governor but unfortunately he is republican and despite his extreme hatred of TFG, we just cannot afford to lose another seat.

I really like Hogan - he in a way actually reminds me of Walz. His daughter, Jamie, is the State's Atty here in St. Marys Co, and he's down here a lot to visit his grandkids. But even tho he's a RINO, he's an R and we just cannot afford to believe he will vote with the Dems when push comes to shove. I wish he had been the Repub presidential nominee instead, but I think that wont happen bc of his health.

It's a great way for others to see they are not alone, and hopefully that will inspire them to go vote even if there was a voice in their head questioning if their vote mattered due to where they live.

I'm in a fairly mixed part of DFW where we see a good mix of red and blue. I put my Harris sign out in the yard a few weeks ago and someone put a small American flag next to it which made me happy. My DS bought my dad a Harris/Walz ballcap and he's so afraid of offending someone by wearing it. He always says, I'll take it off if it bothers you. I told her to wear it proudly but he wants to be sensitive.
I think the blue dot idea is great for those who want to show support but not be quite so obvious about it.

That makes me think that maybe I could wear a shirt supporting VP Harris. That I should. I might order one today! I have 2 pairs of Chucks and pearls given to me by my grandparents. I wear my pearls every day and my Chucks most every day. I do sneak in my birks on some days. I figure some people will see those and get it. Others will just see me in another outfit of the day. It makes me feel good to know what I am wearing and who/what I am supporting. I also have a Chucks and Pearls coffee cup. I did use it in my office the first couple of days after I got it. I decided to take it home and bother my DH more by using it there. I work in a church, of all places for me to be, and my family will be voting with the Rs. Except my DD and ODS. My mother has drunk the Kool-aid that Fox pours and try as I might, I can't get her to see any differently. My DD is hoping abortion comes up when she is around. She has no qualms arguing with her Mimi about a woman's right to health care. My niece is gay(or we are pretty positive with all her IG postings that she is) but she is waiting until my mom passes before actually making it official. Not the right word but you understand. I told my DD over the weekend that I wish she would say something to my mother. She needs some sense knocked into her head. That the way she votes DOES affect our family. The video that is referenced has been making the rounds on TT. So many are stitching it and asking why we are living in a time where we have to be afraid to show support, have an opinion, etc. When the other side just overdoses on their clothing, signs, flags, etc and heaven forbid anyone should give them the side eye. So many men are coming out and defending the woman and wondering how other men are just so ugly. It is nice to see the support she is getting. It is also good in this FB group I am in, that I am seeing more people bravely wearing their shirts and not getting any kickback. Even a few supportive smiles and heads up!

It's an absolute shame that people can't openly express their political leaning no matter if you are blue or red. Retaliation is real! Heck, to be honest, it's the same on this board as well.

I had thought about getting some Chucks but I'd read that they aren't very feet friendly, and I have troublesome feet. I usually don't go anywhere anyway, except to work and shopping once a week early in the AM. I'm not sure what my company feels about wearing political attire. I just walked by a colleague's cubicle and he has a MAGA hat on his shelf. I am going to find a nice t-shirt or sweatshirt and see how it goes!

I will say the morning after it was announced that Harris would be the candidate, I did put a picture of my feet in Chucks, with my pearls draped across them and me wearing a blue striped dress on FB. I figure that was subtle enough without being obnoxiously in your face on who I was supporting. And if I am to believe my DD and ODS, from what I have posted on FB, it's pretty obvious who I support. I do not call people names, I do not post memes. I do post facts as known, I do call out the idiocy of different situations. Like right now it is all I can do to not post "sorrows...prayers" in reference to yesterday's event. Mine would be in sarcasm as I know dang well thoughts and prayers aren't going to do jack crap. Man, my southern is coming out. I need to drink more coffee and get to work.

That is also why I have to swap out and give the good shoes a day or so. I have a white pair and a really pretty aqua pair. I just threw out a pink pair in my last shoe clean out. These are keepers. And yeah, can't really get too political here thus the subtle wearing of shoes and pearls. I'm pretty sure there is only 1 or 2 around here that actually gets that reference.

Chuck insoles come out easily to be replaced with an insole of your choice. I actually fine them fairly comfortable without replacing. My daughter both have orthotics and Chuck’s are their favorites as it’s easy to change the insoles and their orthotics easily fit.

Yes, I was just going to post this same thing. They've been around for a while! I had one of these stickers on my little red Mini.

So far I've only gotten compliments. In mostly red Indiana. But it does suck that I have to consider where I wear it, while MAGA crap is everywhere. I wear chucks every day now. Its become my thing...I love finding new colors on Poshmark or in thrift stores. And pearls usually. But that's most days anyway. It's fun feeling a part of things. Attachments:

Our blue dot in Nebraska is loud and proud. We gave Obama and Biden an electoral vote. We are on to do it again. There is a local couple painting and giving away signs.
