My 17 yr old dryer bit the dust, so we are going to purchase a new set (our washer is also 17 years old). We had a Whirlpool Duet, front loader.
We like the front load styles, but since it's been 17 years since we last looked into this, I'd love some pea recommendations...currently looking at the samsungs and LGs.

I have an LG front loader at my lake house and hate it with the fire of a thousand suns. It takes 2+ hours for a load to finish washing, and my clothes never really get clean. Full disclosure, I am a distance runner so my running clothes get pretty gross… I love my top loader at home because I can soak them before finishing the cycle.
We inherited both with the house when we bought it. The LG dryer has been fine, no issues.
My machines at home are both Speed Queen, which I absolutely love and recommend highly.

We have an updated Whirlpool Duet set. The washer is so fancy. It can get a load clean in 25 minutes. Love that for light loads.
