Also, if anyone missed the documentary about fast fashion (cannot recall the streaming service or the name of the show but I bet someone here does) it is EYE OPENING. I mean seriously stunning. And this is coming from a girl who thought she knew about most of the world's big waste issues. If you think of it I would be interested in finding it to watch. Maybe once DH gets out of the hospital and my life gets a bit more normalcy I will start a thread dedicated to investment dressing vs fast fashion. I am discovering more websites and Instagram accounts weekly. But then again, my degree is fashion related and I've always been a fabric/clothing nut. I want to be a minimalist dresser with a limited closet. I really do. But my tastes change so often that I just can't do it. Also, I don't like the way I look in the more structured, tailored clothes that most people think of as classic. I do try to buy second hand but that's not always possible. One thing I think people get confused about is that minimalist dressing is the same as investment dressing. You can begin to build a good solid wardrobe that is not entirely structured or tailored. Look for quality and buy what you love. Once you get the top notch core basics in place (pants, jeans, skirt, blouses/tops) then you can add in fun pieces that are more trendy and fun. Have you considered working with a stylist to work with for wardrobe building? It can be a good investment in both time and money.

**GypsyGirl**....I think MichyM *might* be referring to "Brandy Hellville" (on HBO). It was shocking to learn that Ghana receives 15 million garments PER DAY, and how much gets burned and ends up in the ocean. The worst part (that I wish I'd never seen!) were the memes that were shared between Brandy Melville execs---jokes about Hitler, Holocaust victims, plus racist, political, and misogynistic memes. Also--- Prato, Italy where a lot of the Brandy Mellville clothes are made---the tag saying "Made In Italy" sounds more prestigious and chic than the usual Asian countries. Yet, the clothes-makers there are treated like slaves, plus, unsafe working conditions.

Well as someone who has had that brown/tan/Tuscan look and still does for the most part. .I could paint in bright orange and purple and be happy.. SOOOO sick of tan/brown look.. so so so sick of it. I want some nice light bright colors.. and not a fan of white walls either, so your house sounds just like what I want.. i could mix in some tan with the white/gray and blend together. But yeah, not in the budget right now.

I've never been a fan of gray walls, furniture, car interior etc. Greige I can handle but most of our walls are off white or some sort of beige. I'm still a fan of the farmhouse look with crisp white walls and neutral components. And I live in the middle of Missouri, nowhere near the ocean, but I do have a beachy feel decor in my basement. I guess it's more coastal and relaxing rather than tacky over the top.
We are also in the middle of putting Board & Batten in our foyer. Ours are a little over 5 feet and will have a ledge at the top for pictures as well.
I need to hit some thrift stores to look for a few new clothing items. I've been on a weight loss journey so everything I have is too big right now. But I'm still losing so I don't want to spend $$ on clothes that might not fit next season. Or perhaps I need to clean out my closet...There has to be some smaller sizes in there...right? I need to get rid of most of what's in there anyway. I no longer go into the office so I have a ton of things I never wear anymore.
Has anyone sold on Poshmark? My daughters both have clothes they are getting rid of and I was thinking of putting them on FB but I'd probably have more luck with Poshmark.

My niece loves to sell on Poshmark. Once in awhile I give her some of my older, but nicer, clothes and she sells it on there. She does all the packing and shipping, and I just let her keep the proceeds.

I really like the quilted jackets that are coming out now. The slid ones with a quilted pattern.
