DH and i went tonight for his bday and I loved it! If you are a fan of the first movie I think you will enjoy this!
So fun to see so many characters from the first one and I actually enjoyed the new characters. I love how they handled having the dad (Charles Deetz) without having the actor in the movie. (I wasn’t aware of his criminal activity so that made me sad).

I want to go see it so bad! I made DH watch the first one (53 years old and he never watched it..who did I marry?).
I’m such a Michael Keaton fan girl

I made my son watch the first one when he was in college (as well as a few other pretty campy movies from the 80's. He just stated that it explained A LOT! I did not ask for further clarification

I am really hoping to go tomorrow, my 2 grandsons have football games about an hour away, the first game for the little guy is at 10 and should end around 12, the second game for the 7th grader isn't until 4. I was thinking lunch and a movie in between rather than driving home!!

I’ve never seen it. Nothing I’ve seen or heard about it appeals to me. I’m only here because I thought it was the pea version of beetle juice and wondering who we were summoning. 🤣

I am glad people seem to be liking it. I will eventually see it but not sure if I will go to a theater for it. Because we do not get a lot of movies filmed or set in our little state/towns, when there are they are well talked about and supported around here. I saw the first Beetlejuice as that type of movie…I saw it, I enjoyed it, but it was more of a curiosity because of it’s affect on my state. Everyone was looking for the extras that you might know in some of the scenes, etc. I guess I consider this one the same type of thing. I think I will enjoy it but more because curiosity and would see it even if the reviews/people called it a big ol’ stink pile of a movie. This is a little article that CN traveler had that I enjoyed reading for some small filming insights in a tiny town. We have/had some local stories on it so this was interesting (to me anyways. 😉😆) CN Traveler on Beetlejuice/East Corinth

We saw it last night. I enjoyed the story but Dh and I agree that the pacing was off. I won't watch it over and over, but I am glad that I saw it.

We just watched the original about a month ago with DD who hadn’t seen it. I think we would all like seeing this one too. We don’t go to too many movies at the theater but we might make an exception for this because it could be pretty fun to see on the big screen.

I don't want to spoil anything, but I think being a kid (or older in the 70s) helped with a few of the references. Some of the musical choices were so nostalgic.

We are going tomorrow night! We rewatched the original tonight, it has been a few years since I’ve seen it, so I wanted to remember everything!
