Running Springs has an immediate evacuation order. The Line Fire in Highland jumped the 330 near the shooting range and is quickly moving north and north west.
Reports have been questionable right now with so much activity.
PD is headed on route 18 to get people out.
The 330 is closed so you will need an alternative route.

I hope they can contact everyone at camp sites. And I hope they can keep it away from Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear!

Wow! Stay safe everyone! I hope they can contact everyone at camp sites. And I hope they can keep it away from Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear! They had a helicopter announcing then PD got up there telling people to get out. The winds are shifting and coming back west so it could come back down towards East Highland. My childhood home is in the level 2 evacuation zone (be ready to go if level 3). I am about 10 min from there and the ash and smoke smell is horrible. Low visibility too. |

I heard that the traffic getting out is backed up for miles. I really hope everyone gets out safely and that the wind changes and goes away from homes and homes aren’t destroyed. It sounds really scary. I also hope it does go towards Big Bear. I admit I don’t know the area well but it’s so gorgeous up there. I hope they can get it under control soon.
