I worked last night...so didn't sleep for good reason....Had my eye injected this morning and was really hurting, and afraid I wouldn't sleep so I took a 5mg oxycodone knowing that would help. I fell right asleep, however, Sadly it only helped for 3 hours. I took a pot roast out of the freezer that really needed to be used. That is in the slow cooker. I put the carrots in when I got up and I’ll throw some potatoes in in a bit. DH will love this as he is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, I personally a not a fan of pot roast, but I'll take one for the team tonight!

cadoodlebug I've been messaging back and forth with my primary care provider and I mentioned the ENT's comment to her. She responded, "That was such a helpful comment! hahah."

**GypsyGirl** I had to google to see what a 'derecho' is, I haven't heard that word before. I hope the current tropical storm passes you by. I've been watching the footage from the typhoon in Vietnam, it's devastating. rymeswithpurple wow, that sounds like a lot. Hopefully now that you have a full diagnosis, the best treatment can begin. We went to MILs for dinner. She made three different curries (a beef, a chicken, and a prawn curry) and rice. I took it easy, but still managed to eat a decent meal. Then we had a heap of fresh fruit for dessert.

Tearisci, Houston is a hop, skip and a jump from Dallas. **GypsyGirl**, my doctor is very busy and we're trying to nail good dates for him, as well. I hope to have this resolved by Thursday. karenlou, how are you doing? I'm thinking of both you and your beloved, furry Gracie. rymeswithpurple, I'm glad that you're getting answers. If your ENT is dismissive then it's OK to fire him and hire someone new, providing insurance will allow it. I had to go through a few GI's over many years to finally find the great one who diagnosed a decades long issue. Finding a great doctor can be the key to fixing this now. I hate that you have to go through all of this. bc2ca, I'm sorry that you also joined the land of the wide awake last night. I truly hope that we all seep like rocks tonight. leannec, that includes you. I was supposed to have a test in my voice lesson, but I was unable to practice last week, due to being away. So, I asked to have the test postponed one week. (Shhh. Don't tell my son, the teacher.)

Oh I wish I was in your part of the state because it would be fun to meet up. I'll wave from DFW! Austin waving too! How far is Houston from Austin? I live a few states away. I'm trying to find a flight that won't take all day and that, unlike last time won't take me up to Boise then down to Houston. Thank you Southwest.
karenlou, rest well tonight. Those shots are cruel.

Thank you Southwest. Austin to where you will be is about 2.5 hours driving. Dallas to there is about 3 hours driving. In Texas, that's considered close!

I guess the hurricane is heading to Louisiana and is expected to hit Wednesday as there is a mandatory evacuation order for the *bottom of the boot*. 58 years ago today Hurricane Betsy hit Louisiana ~ it was the first day of school my senior year. We had that day then no school for 2 weeks because our HS was a Red Cross shelter. We were without power for over a week. Lost some trees in the back yard and some shingles but were otherwise okay.

AussieMeg Definitely getting there! I need to get a pneumonia vaccine, but still haven't heard back from the allergist. Primary care wants me to hear back from them before scheduling it. scrapmaven Thank you! 💕 I think she is the third one I've seen. She's pretty good, but my primary care provider said she'll send me a referral if I want a second opinion. I swear she and I would be friends if not for the provider/patient thing.

cadoodlebug, I feel for the folks in the path of the hurricane and hope that everyone stays safe.
rymeswithpurple, I became friends w/my asthma doc many years ago. A friendship w/your PCP wouldn't be out of line. That's very different than a psychiatrist and patient.
