I'm using that very ingredient tonight for an "Egg Roll in a Bowl" recipe that I'm making in the instant pot. We'll have it over brown rice.

We've never had a bad recipe from there! You could also make the wedding soup from the same site. So tasty!!

Sausage, peppers, onions, sandwiches. (I would also add mushrooms).
Sausage ball and then fortify dinner with a salad and/or veggies. Or maybe a few other appetizer type things.

I make this dish every few weeks, as it is one of DS' favorites, and it reheats well when he tak3s it to work.
Cook Italian sausage with onions and peppers, then add chicken broth and rice. Season with italian seasoning, garlic (measure with your heart), extra red pepper, or hot sauce to your liking. Cover and simmer until broth absorbed and rice done.
This can also be cooked in the oven as well.
We call this "Cowboy Rice". MIL made this when DH was growing up, although she made it with ground beef. I occasionally use ground turkey or breakfast sausage if I don't have Italian sausage.

1. Homemade pizza 2. Mix with cream cheese and roll up in crescent roll dough to make a sort of pie and bake (not my fave but my husband loves it) 3. Soup as listed above 4. Mix with ricotta, salt, pepper and Fresh Italian parsley; stir in mozzarella; layer with spaghetti sauce and cooked pasta shells and more mozzarella, like you would with lasagna noodles but this is easier; top with Parm and a little butter, bake 4. Fry up some veggies like zucchini and peppers with the sausage and olive oil, fresh herbs, serve over pasta with grated cheese

It really was. I used ground chicken Italian sausage from a local farm but I'm sure any sausage would be just as good. I bookmarked it to make again.

I made this tonight and it was delicious! I agree it needs additional spices, I added red pepper flakes and both smoked and regular paprika, but next time I’ll probably add others. I also added a sweet potato. Thanks for the recipe!
