That was quite a shaker. Hope our So Cal peas are all okay.
Looks like it was just a bit north of Malibu and ringing in at a 4.7 magnitude. Guess that is why I felt it, it was just a few miles away.

Very mild here - Seal Beach/Long Beach. But I'm quite a distance.
Dog definitely felt it.
It seems to have been pretty strong.
Earthquake weather...

4.7? That is a decent sized one. Thank goodness I’m on the train, I didn’t feel it at all. I’m sure I’ll feel the aftershocks in the high rise.

A pretty big aftershock too.
I've lived here for 30 years. I think this is the 4th time I've felt an earthquake. This was the biggest, and probably the closest, I've felt. The aftershock is in second place.
I'm in southern Ventura County, right at the northern border of LA county. Eleven miles, as the crow flies, to the ocean.

I know there's weather that spawns tornadoes, and weather that brings hurricanes, and weather that gives us blizzards... but what weather influences earthquakes? |

I was by the beach this morning and even though it is much cooler today than last week - multiple people mentioned earthquake weather when talking about the earthquake. |

Around January is when I head the most talk of earthquake weather. |
