Other than those that travel via RV, have you traveled with an organized group? And have you ever taken a grandchild along? I am looking at Road Scholar and thinking of taking my 15 yo gs with me on one of the trips.

my mum did quite a few road scholar trips - most solo, a couple with a friend. She was always very happy with them. That said, I think her last trip was probably 2015/16 (she passed in 2019 at 83)

My main concern with taking a 15yo on the trip is most people will be quite old. I would check with the company and try to find a trip that included teens.

I have done escorted tours solo. They were contiki and insight vacations. I have also cruised and done all inclusives. I took my then 11 yr old niece to Cancun and my then 11 yr old nephew on an Alaska cruise. If you are looking for a tour w a teen, Trafalgar has family specific departures. There is also Adventures by Disney.

Road Scholar has grandchild programs. I’ve heard good things kids and adults do some things on their own and then come back together. As soon as my grandchild turns 8, I plan to sign up.
