I received an email with this new product, a 12x12 light pad. I'm really thinking about it. It might be the easiest way yet to align titles, etc. linkOn the other hand, it will take up a lot of space. Thoughts?

I love the idea but I don't want to pay 70 dollars for 12x12 and some grid markings when a basic A3-sized LED drawing pad can be found for under 15 on AliExpress. The video they posted didn't convince me I needed it over a significantly cheaper product.
On sale, half the price off, I could be tempted, however. It would be so easy for titles, alignment of photos + elements and whatnot, you're right!

I know it says it will work with thicker paper, but I'm a little skeptical. The biggest hangup for me is the size.

You can find a lot of light pads for less than $50 on Amazon. Many with great reviews.

You're supposed to be able to see through the paper and the grid mat to see the gridlines? If they wanted to convince us of that, he should have showed us. "Do whatever you want with it" does not convince me.

I kind of like it and can see lots of uses for it, including helping me with my calligraphy. It would need to go on sale for me to purchase, though. Sometimes JoAnn's has sales on WeRMakers, and that's how I was able to get a project cart for under $40.

I like the idea... but I use a lot of darker colors, so I have to wonder if the light would show through those.

Brings back memories. Years ago before all the nice machines we have now we had light boxes. We’d use them to emboss metal stencils or to trace and fussy cut drawings.
I don’t think I’d have any need for one now.

I used to have a lightbox that I used for tracing and dry embossing but didn't use it very often so I gave it away. This one does seem a little spendy but if you think you'd use it a lot then it would be worth the investment. Thanks for posting this mikklynn.

I had a lightbox years ago that I gave away, and then once I started doing PL I really regretted it - I had to hold up my PL cards to the window to align them on the paper properly to print my journalling. So after dark I couldn't print on my PL cards. This lightpad would fix that problem - but now that I know I can buy one on Amazon or AliExpress for cheaper, I will do that. I'm excited to print after dark again, although I no longer do PL, I use the same technique for printing stuff for my 12x12 pages and memory planner.
