Hi everyone! Well, I managed to sleep about four hours last night ... a recent record! Woo hoo! I do not ever get more than that so I am happy! I am getting ready to go to the 25th Anniversary Celebration of my condo complex in a couple of hours ... I'll hang out with this senior citizen couple that are super nice! . No idea what is happening ... if it's boring, I'll leave. . I need to dig my camp chair out of the spare bedroom closet ... of course I have a ton of stuff in front of it. I think I might have a date tonight ... I'm not holding my breath though. This is what I posted on Facebook yesterday ... it rings so true for me ... I'm a total homebody ... like you didn't know that! I haven't even given dinner a thought yet ... so that's up in the air! How is everyone feeling today? What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a great Saturday everybody!

Happy Saturday!
I'm still carless but hoping my nephew can come over tomorrow and see if it's something he can fix or if I need to have it towed to a mechanic. I was just bragging to my son that it's almost 7 years old and I haven't had any problems with it. It's only got 37K miles on it because I work from home and really don't go anywhere out of my town.
My sister is taking my mom, dad and me up for mani/pedis. I think the parents are just getting manis but my toes need a little bit of a touch up too.
Dinner tonight will be something chicken- maybe pan fried in bread crumbs and then I'm making a german potato salad to go with. I made one last weekend and it was really good so I thought I'd do it again.
Hope you all have a great day!

leannec do dudes not plan anymore? I'm not thinking I'd be hanging round day of waiting to see if he wanted to have a date with me later. I'm glad I'm not dating now. 😵💫 I'm glad you got some sleep. I feel for you. If I don't sleep, I function very poorly from a mental health standpoint. We are just over an hour away from home. Can't wait to get there. I tried to keep my mind off work this week. But at about 4pm yesterday I started to get antsy. I know it's because I don't know what I'm walking into Monday. I messaged my friend/coworker. Apparently some things went down this week and there might actually be some movement on my complaint. We shall see what happens Monday. Tonight we will have sausages and French toast because that's about all we've got left to eat. Someone needs to go to the store tomorrow.

I need to get my act together and get packing for the cottage. I’ve always procrastinated with packing because I can never decide what clothes to take. I monitor the weather forecast like crazy and still can’t decide. DH just throws some shirts, pants, shorts in a bag and gets in the truck.
We watched our neighbour across the street paint his SUV in the driveway today. It was a full on paint job. He masked everything last night and painted it this morning. DH thought he was crazy. As someone who used to paint vehicles, he was worried about the wind blowing stuff into the paint. Said it needs to be done in a climate controlled paint booth.
Supper will be leftover grilled pork chop, grilled potatoes and beans.

Good evening all, Today has been a good day! DH has booked our trip home for Christmas vacation. Everything is done: flights, accommodation, car hire (with 2 kid’s car seats). Now I just have to wait and organise all the presents I need to take with me. Apart from that, it’s been an ordinary Saturday. It’s been cold and rainy and we only went out to do the grocery shopping. As DH will be away from Monday to Thursday next week, he has planned weekend meals that will have leftovers for me for a couple of days. This afternoon there’s been football on TV and lots of knitting by me. Our football game is about to start, so we’ll watch that over dinner and into the evening.
Dinner tonight is a roast chicken with vegetables and gravy. There will be plenty left for at least one meal for me and I will also turn the bones into broth to make soup.

Happy Saturday!
I was up early so I got a two mile walk in. It is going to be another hot day so I wanted to get it over with. I made a birthday card my my FIL. He turned 90 yesterday. Leaving in a little bit to go watch two grandkids play soccer. Hope to get to watch a little of the Purdue football game before we have to leave for FIL birthday party. We are having a family dinner at a local restaurant. There should be over 40 people in attendance.
I feel like that's enough for a Saturday.
Hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Hi all! Having a lazy weekend here.
I was able to get my vaccine this morning when I ran to the store for a few other things for dinner next week.
DH and I usually have steak and potatoes for dinner on Saturdays, but we're switching it up and doing a bruschetta of sorts with steak, burrata, sundried tomatoes, pickled onions, and roasted red peppers. We've never made it before, but I'm excited.

We just got back from the yard sales. DH scored on some golf balls and I scored on some things. I'll take pictures and post about them tomorrow as right now I need to watch the LSU game! Dinner will be Burnt Ends.

Dinner will be grilled burgers and dogs....I just finished making the cole slaw dressing, so I will mix the slaw after the flavors "meld"
I plan to finish up the baby album I am working on, just month 11 and 12 and it is a wrap. I also want to start to go through my France pictures. We also used cluster , a photo sharing app, so I need to see if I want any of the shared pictures...this will be a project

Dinner tonight will be rechauffe - we have several different choices & will see what we're in the mood for when the time comes. I'm working on unpacking more today and hopefully getting to my craft room, which has been left mostly in boxes while I work on higher-priority rooms. Furniture is in place though. As we work on unpacking, organizing, and furniture placement, DH & I are starting to put ideas together for some mostly small-ish furniture pieces that we'll need to finish a few rooms. On Labor Day weekend we ordered a large sectional sofa with recliners for the family room and also found the perfect loveseat for the living room. (All of our existing sofas, loveseats, & small sectional went into the basement rec room - we knew we'd need to get new upstairs furniture for the LR & FR.) There is a community-wide yard sale going on in our area today (it's huge) and while I put some stuff into it (on my SIL's driveway ) I am also avoiding going out to look since I'm pretty sure that a) I will find something I like/love/"must have" and b) do not need in any way, shape, or form. I'm very grateful to my SIL for offering to let me throw the things from my 3 "donate" boxes in with hers on their tables. I went over last night to help stage things with her, not just mine but hers too and help her carry stuff out from her basement & garage. My 3 boxes got whittled down to 2 when I took out all the books that are just going to go to the library for sale or donation. I had already taken at least 10 boxes of stuff to the donation center before we even moved, just in the past 2 months. (And many more over the past 1-2 years.) The 3 remaining boxes were things that were tossed in as we were unpacking and realized they were no longer needed (" Oh, we still have this???" and " Where did you find that?? Haven't seen it in years and it's long since been replaced by a newer/better/working one" ) -- and in one case, a box that was clearly marked for donation but got thrown in the truck and moved anyway. Have a great day, all!

Dinner will be Burnt Ends. View Attachment 30 books!!? I can't even... Both DH & I have tons of books - many times more than 30...and this after we've whittled our collections down! We will never NOT have tons of books! We both make extensive use of the library but we also reread from our collections at home all the time. I currently only have 1 book going (because unpacking), but I typically have 2-3 going at once and DH usually has the same. Love the response to MK on the meme though!

I’m at the crop having fun. No idea what’s for dinner. We’ll go somewhere and eat something. I won’t starve. But also, today the gentleman friend leaves for two weeks in Ireland with his daughter. So I’m a little sad, too. I guess I’ll live. LOL

I can't live with my books and all three kids and dh are book hoarders too.
my son is having a tough time being unemployed and getting lots of rejections (wash dc). he is working on his. mental health thankfully and has a supportive wife. he doesn't want to go back to bartending, but he may need to. he only has 3 yrs of college and that is a barrier.
fog is out there but it is sunny at my house.
dinner is a mix of leftovers and maybe some scrambled eggs. and a salad. I'm working to finish my sister in law's album this weekend.

Hi everyone.
A migraine hit out of nowhere. Mine are duller, but last a few days. I took a med and I'm gonna go into bed for a while and let the med do it's job.
Dinner is chicken enchiladas and salad for dh.
Hoping that everyone is enjoying a good weekend.

As someone who used to paint vehicles, he was worried about the wind blowing stuff into the paint. Said it needs to be done in a climate controlled paint booth. I always thought car paint needed to be baked on (probably not the technical term)? My sis once painted her car with a paintbrush and let's just say it definitely looked handpainted rather than professionally done. I hope your FIL has a great birthday and enjoys being surrounded by family tonight, stormsts. scrapmaven, hope your migraine doesn't interfere with the travel plans. I was up and out early for an outreach event for the CASA program. It was my first event in about a year and one of my favorite things to do is recruit new CASAs. A quick stop at the farmers market on the way home has me switching from the planned dinner (eggroll in a bowl) to Korean tacos. I desperately want a pedicure but DH & DS are currently working on a long list of needed maintenance to my car. Boxes of hoses, filters and plugs have been arriving over the last couple days. I much prefer my typical boxes that come in with papercrafting supplies, clothes, coffee, etc.

Well, my plans changed. We ended up going for a late lunch after our mani/pedis and I forgot that I had taken chicken out of the freezer and by the time I got home, it was warm Oh well, I probably won't even eat dinner tonight since we had lunch so late. Oh well, it was fun to spoil the parents and do something other than take them to dr appointments. My dad is 92 and loves manicures.

The best thing I ever did was buy a Kindle and get rid of my books! It took me a lot of years to whittle down my collection, because I used to love my books and the look of them on the bookshelf. But now that they're gone, I don't miss them one little bit. I definitely have less than 30 books, and they're outside in the garage. DSO and I went to see DD's partner play his football grand final on Saturday afternoon. We had to park miles away, then the rain and wind started, it blew my umbrella inside out, we walked down a dead end street and couldn't get into the ground, my UTI is still bothering me, so we walked back to the car and went home! We happened to be parked near our favourite dumpling place, so I bought some dumplings and DSO bought some Korean fried chicken from a Korean takeaway. That was our dinner later.

I hope something finally happens with others filing complaints jeremysgirlleannec 🤞🏻your date comes through Dh golfed again 🙄 I’m beyond over by this time of year. I went to the farmer’s market 1st thing this morning only to find out it was a market day. No farmers came. Went and saw Luke. They’re having a potty training and pacifier throw away boot camp this weekend. So they’re stuck at home. Made salad with every veggie in the house and hot honey pepperoni pizza. There’s a full moon Tuesday. Just a heads up.

leannec hope you enjoy your time at the 25th Celebration and that your date comes through. I had an easy day today. I showered and stayed in my pajamas all day. I did a small load of laundry, paid a couple of bills online and worked on my puzzle most of the day. For dinner we had stuffed salmon, rice and coleslaw.
