Good morning.
I'm still battling this stupid migraine. I take meds that calm it down for a a couple of hours, so that I can get some things done. Yesterday I made Giada's meatballs to freeze for dh to eat while I'm gone. Today I'm going to make a mediterranean lentil soup that will freeze well for dh. jeremysgirl, I thought of you when I thought of this recipe.
Dinner for dh is his homemade margherita pizza. What's on your menu?
How is everyone doing today?
What's on your plan for this week? I have to finish packing my carry-on. I am doing my voice lesson via Zoom today, but might have to cancel if this headache doesn't calm way down.
Wishing all of you a happy, fulfilling week, ahead.

I'm sorry the migraine is hanging on, scrapmaven . I am happy to start the thread tomorrow as you fly eastward for your special treatments. We had a chance of rain this morning and it is cold and windy. For that reason, I will attend the 9:45 AquaFit class instead of 8:45. Maybe it will be a little warmer and less windy! Dinner will be Chicken Noodle Soup to warm us up!

Good evening all, It has literally been raining ALL DAY here! Not really heavy most of the time, but enough to discourage me from leaving the house. We are under a flood alert already, and are also expecting swollen rivers from Czechia and Austria to flow into German rivers in the next couple of days, so things could get a bit scary in places. It’s supposed to ease off overnight here, so I may get to the shops tomorrow. I have spent thh hr e say knitting and made good progress on Lucia’s cardigan. scrapmaven - I hope your headache calms down soon. Dinner tonight is going to be a piece of leftover lasagne from last night. I’d hoped to make a chicken pot pie with the leftovers from our roast, but I don’t have the right vegetables or pastry, due to my reluctance to getting soaked to the skin on a grocery run.

scrapmaven I pray your pesky migraine disappears. cadoodlebug that would be my dog's opinion! One time I had grated some cheese for a recipe. Stepped out of the room for a second and heard a slurping noise. My little counter surfer at work. jeremysgirl wishing you well as you go back to work. I'm not sure what's for dinner. Maybe some beer battered cod from Costco and whatever sides I come up with!

Happy Monday dinner friends! scrapmaven I hope your migraine subsides and that you have a safe trip to the Lonestar state. sueg we would welcome a few rainy days, we get them so rarely that I welcome a good excuse to not leave the house. cadoodlebug Love the meme! I'm dragging this morning, the quilt retreat was productive but exhausting! There was way too much drama with the 2 friends I was there with, especially the girl that used my towel, It's making me seriously re-consider spending time with her. The organizer said that I'm welcome to join her group at future retreats, but J won't be invited back. the best part was that I met some really great ladies that may become quilty friends in the future. I'm pretty much a loner, so not having a "group" isn't the end of the world for me. :-) I've spent the morning looking at flights for a girls trip I'm taking next spring, I feel like it's a little early to be booking the flights, but some of the others have booked theirs. I am pretty loyal to American Airlines due to having life status and free Admirals lounge access. The girls that have already booked are flying United, so do I abandon my perks and fly with them, or fly to Europe and back solo ( Which I'm fine with doing) Third world issues. :-) DH is at the ranch, so dinner is undecided, I may just run out and grab something. Time will tell. Wishing everyone a great Monday!

Today I'm going to make a mediterranean lentil soup that will freeze well for dh. jeremysgirl, I thought of you when I thought of this recipe If the recipe is good, I'd like to have it. Marina, it's been a morning! I'm over this day already. I did tell my coworker I'm tired of her talking down to me instead of treating me like a colleague. She instructed me this morning what I would be doing and let me know that she'd be taking over something that I do regularly. I told her that I'm tired of being talked to that ways and that she often comes across as condescending. She was not happy about that. She told me I was condescending because I told her that she should have been able to do a report while I was on vacation. She said she didn't know how to do it. I told her that she helped with it last year. She told me I needed to write instructions on how to do it. I asked her how I figured out how to do it without instructions. I have had enough. She did nothing all week. I'm just about to step out for a walk at lunch with my friend. I'll be remaking last night's dinner again, I think. Although I kind of do want the garlicky kale. For some reason it sounds good over some whipped "feta" with pickled chipotles, crispy chickpeas and toasted sourdough. That's what I'm feeling.

Happy Monday! And it's sure been one already! Found out that my car issue was a bad battery so I met my BIL at the auto parts store and bought a new one which he installed. I had hoped it was under warranty but it wasn't. I know it hasn't been more than a few years old but oh well. I don't drive very much so I guess that's harder on the battery. Today I'm plugging along at work working on not very exciting things. Tomorrow I have an off-site meeting by AT&T stadium (home of the Cowboys) and then a work Happy Hour. My boss was going to let me Uber there if I didn't get my car running which I think was nice of them to offer. I really do work for a good company. Hope your migraine goes away soon scrapmaven . jeremysgirl your co-worker is a piece of work. Hope you all have a great day! Edited to add - Dinner will either be leftover Butter Chicken or a soup and sandwich!

The last week or two have been so wet here and also know what it's like to be wishing for rain, having lived in Australia most of my life. On the flights - I'd go with your status and lounge access. It makes such a difference on a longer flight to have those things. And in the grand scheme of the whole vacation, the flight time is not that much. I am also an experienced long distance solo flyer, often doing here to Oz alone and I find, even when I fly with DH on one of those trips, we don't spend a lot of time talking to each other, as either one of us is watching a movie (great chance to catch up with movies the other wouldn't care for) or sleeping.

So, lemme get this straight, jeremysgirl, your coworker didn't do a damn thing all week while you were gone and then had the nerve to tell you that you're giving her a project that she can't do, while telling you to write up step-by-step instructions? Wow is she ever not reading the room. She is a lazy, lying, dumbass.

Wow is she ever not reading the room. She is a lazy, lying, dumbass. The thing is, I had already read my email yesterday. I knew that my boss had the email from me last year on this report and he was asking me to do it. She didn't need to say a single thing. And it was like she was just waiting for me to log on this morning so she could ping me with this. And the monthly report she said she'd update was like a half hour's worth of work and she told my boss Thursday she needed until end of day today. I could have done my half without (I planned to) without any issue. This other report will take me hours. So not only did she tell me to do the report, she told me she was taking over the other one, and then she told me to create instructions for her on how to do the report that she wants me to do in the first place. And I had barely sat down in my chair when this happened this morning.

I'm just hanging about today ... still feeling a bit off ... I'll shake it eventually ... I know what it is like to battle a migraine for days scrapmaven ... it sucks! I hope you can kick it to the curb soon! Your coworker is such a joke jeremysgirl ... it's so sad and funny at the same time! Why she hasn't been fired is beyond me ... are you in a union? I think dinner tonight will be cabbage rolls that I got from the grocery store deli yesterday ... they are soooooo good!

Enjoy your aquafit, class this am, cadoodlebug. Have an enjoyable day ahead. Thanks! I was correct in thinking the first class would be cloudy, windy and sparsely attended. Even the class I went to only had about 17 people. The sun had come out and the water was wonderful. But man, getting out after class was hard! On October 1st they start having only one class which is from 9 to 9:55 so it's 10 minutes longer. I plan to gut it out all winter so wish me luck!

Happy Monday!! I had the best day yesterday! I spent the day with my son and grandson. His wife was working (ER nurse) We had the best time...lots of baby snuggles, great conversation, we got a lot of laundry done, watched football, and had take-out for lunch. My grandma heart is so full!! Today I am in the office trying to think of all the things that I can get done since I will be out for at least 2 weeks. Tomorrow is my surgery. I will try and check in as I can. I will be spending a night or two in the hospital. I am ready but also trying not to think too much about it. I have zero clue what dinner will be. jeremysgirl Your co-slaker, I mean co-worker makes my head hurt. The things she does just boggles my mind. scrapmaven I'm sorry you still have that pesky migraine. Dumb headache!! Tearisci I am glad it was just your battery and not something more costly. leannec Thinking of you today and sending

I had salad tilapia, green beans & potatoes.

Hellllo PolarGreen12! So good to see ya! ( I was one of the three people who tagged you last week). I tried to make Chicago Beef for the 2nd time, and once again, it didn't taste right. ( Even with toasted rolls, provolone cheese, and tomatoes---Arrgh! ) So tonight, I'm just turning it into pot roast--added potatoes, green beans, and carrots. This reminds me of Beatrice: The last 2 days were brutal on my headaches and joints because of the changes in barometric pressure. Once it rains, the pain lessens.

cadoodlebug .....When you posted that actor from "Poldark" last week, I was I've been looking at trailers, and trying to decide which streaming service to start in order to watch. This video is soooo cute and funny! It's the cast talking about how the PUG in the show is the biggest diva of all. The way the cast is pretending they don't like him is too funny! Once I found out this pug is in the show, I knew I HAD to watch!

scrapmaven I hope your migraine subsides soon, and you have a safe and fruitful trip. cadoodlebug OMG I burst out laughing at your meme - if we left our cheese on the bench (counter), Boris would take about 5 seconds to work out how to get up there and eat it! PolarGreen12 it's lovely to see you! Well, I know now why my UTI has not got any better after five days of antibiotics.... the doctor rang me in the morning to say that they got the results back from my sample, and I have an eColi infection, and the antibiotics he originally gave me would do nothing. He texted me a new prescription and I went straight to the pharmacy to get the new medication. Less than 24 hours later, and it's already a lot better. I am so relieved! Dinner at MILs house was a few different things - scallops, spanakopita, salmon pie, quiche, fries.
