They have a 20% discount code supposedly good through the 18th. They don’t say it can only be used once, but I used it for a small order last week. I tried to use it for a larger order later, didn’t work, tried again today. Still says that the code isn’t valid.
If it’s only good one time, they should say so.

I'm sorry you couldn't get the sale to work.
I bought some fonts, and can't get them to download to my library. They're in there, I can see the names. It's like they took a good store, and decided to do whatever they could to make it horrible.
I also hate the new search function in the store. I want to see 'pumpkins' it shows me pumpkins mixed with a bunch of stuff that's not related. Kind of like Google giving 3 million hits but only one is actually relevant.

I agree that the search function is worse than it used to be. And it’s often slow and so frustrating.

I emailed them yesterday and they sent me directions to re-sync my account (basically log out, log back in) which worked for half of my downloads but not all of them.
I guess I will wait until they fix whatever their problem is, to buy anything else.

I’ll probably have to bite the bullet and buy them, anyway before the end of the month, or lose credits. I didn’t used to have any problem spending my credits, but with all the changes, and fewer offerings by my preferred designers, I am having trouble spending my credits. The longer this crap goes on, the more convinced I am to finally let my Silhouette sub expire at the end of November. If I do that, I doubt that I will ever be buying any files from them in the future. A sitewide sale used to be 50% off, not 20%, and you didn’t need a stupid code. With all of their recent issues, who in the world thought this would be a good idea? They just keep doing more and more to alienate formerly loyal customers. |

I rarely buy designs from their site any more. I mostly buy direct from the designers.

I started downloading Etsy files when Silhouette was having the really bad issues (when they first switched servers). I got some really adorable and fun designs from Etsy. Then a friend steered me to Creative Fabrica, which I joined for a year for less than $50. I can download as many designs as I want from Creative Fabrica. I got carried away one evening and downloaded so many designs that their system decided to make me prove that I was human, not a bot, LOL. I passed the test, and continued my download spree.

One more thing to be aware of is that the Silhouette Design Store no longer shows what files you own when browsing the designs. If you aren’t careful, you can end up buying the same design more than once.

The other night, I had to do a search in my designs by name….of every design I was considering buying. And yes, several that were in my cart were ones I had previously bought, so I removed them from my cart before checking out.
But they USED TO SHOW WHICH ONES YOU OWNED, and it wasn’t until very recently that ability quietly disappeared.

I can't get the search function in the store to work at all and it's been frustrating the heck out of me for several weeks!! I wish they would get their crap together.

I agree, their search function is wonky at best and often shows designs completely unrelated to what I am trying to find. While I realize that such a major move to a different server (in a reportedly different country), was probably more difficult than most of us less technological individuals realize, it seems like it has taken them overly long to work out the problems. |
