Trying to weed white HTV and trouble seeing cut lines.

I have to use reader glasses and bright light when weeding white vinyl. I'm not experienced enough to know what to sprinkle on it, sorry.

Try a very slight bend...

Once on the transfer 'paper' you can carefully finish the weeding.

Or a piece of glass in a coffee table or a picture frame with just the glass in it. I have a light box and usually use the sliding door. 

Sidewalk chalk in colors! Just grab a small package and make sure it isn't a kind that has any oils or anything else in it. I just use a broken off hunk from my grandkids box of sidewalk chalk here. I also have used some colored chalks that I had on a pallet from back in my days of rubber stamping - used those chalks a a q-tip to color in stamped images. You might be able to purchase a single colored chalk color and that would last forever.

Weeding white HTV vinyl. 

“Weeding” is when you have to remove the cutout pieces in a design that are supposed to be open space, i.e. the center of an “O” or the eyes in a smiley face stencil. It’s really hard to do if you can’t see the cut lines. For dark vinyl, you can sprinkle powder over the design which makes the cuts visible, but that doesn’t work so well on white.Thats why some use cinnamon to highlight the cuts on white vinyl. I guess you could also use colored chalk?

HTV in England is a television channel. Weeding happens in the garden. Cinnamon goes in food. DH thought it might be about quilting.
