I have used chalk on dark colors, but stuck on what to use on white. Did I read somewhere to use ground cinnamon?

I have to use reader glasses and bright light when weeding white vinyl. I'm not experienced enough to know what to sprinkle on it, sorry.

When I help my youngest dd weed the vinyl for the Christmas ornaments she sells I use a backlight. I also tried different brands of vinyl because some backings were better than others. However, that seems to be a preference thing because the one I thought was best my sister that was helping us get through the backlog didn't like it. The backlight I used was the Cricut brand but my sister used the Crayola one that had her kids had and it helped.

Try a very slight bend... Or Once on the transfer 'paper' you can carefully finish the weeding.

I think cinnamon would work. I hate weeding white!
You can put it against. Window with bright light coming in if you don’t have a light box.

I have used chalk on dark colors, but stuck on what to use on white Sidewalk chalk in colors! Just grab a small package and make sure it isn't a kind that has any oils or anything else in it. I just use a broken off hunk from my grandkids box of sidewalk chalk here. I also have used some colored chalks that I had on a pallet from back in my days of rubber stamping - used those chalks a a q-tip to color in stamped images. You might be able to purchase a single colored chalk color and that would last forever.

I had some old ground cloves that worked. But next time I see sidewalk chalk, I will be buying some!

What the heck is weeding white?? and wouldn't cinnamon stain something white?? “Weeding” is when you have to remove the cutout pieces in a design that are supposed to be open space, i.e. the center of an “O” or the eyes in a smiley face stencil. It’s really hard to do if you can’t see the cut lines. For dark vinyl, you can sprinkle powder over the design which makes the cuts visible, but that doesn’t work so well on white.Thats why some use cinnamon to highlight the cuts on white vinyl. I guess you could also use colored chalk?

I 100% thought this subject line was a terrible autocorrect! I def. don't speak this language. LOL I said to my DH "It's English, Jim, but not as we know it" HTV in England is a television channel. Weeding happens in the garden. Cinnamon goes in food. DH thought it might be about quilting. twinsmomfla99 Thank you for the explanation!

I kept coming to this thread to understand what the heck it meant. I'm not 100% sure I understand after the explanation. I have decided that it is not part of my life, so let it go and move to something I comprehend.
