I did some minimal fabric cutting because I had regular iced coffee and I cannot handle caffeine. I need to do tons more work.
Dinner is now smokies, coleslaw/salad, tomatoes, and I will fry a sweet onion. That way we can eat earlier and not have to go to the store.

Well this is a lovely good news thread today! I love hearing that scrapmaven is feeling peppy! DSO has some 50s music on at the moment, and I am picturing you dancing around the room to the rock'n'roll haha! And **GypsyGirl** it is so good to hear about your husband's continuing improvement. We had some beef mince in the fridge that had a use by date of 21st September, so we decided to make boring old spaghetti bolognese. It got left in the (covered) frypan overnight, and DSO is trying to decide whether to pop it in the fridge or toss it. 🤔 I'm not going to eat it.

Yes, I am still living and breathing. Remember a couple of weeks back when I said starting this week, my life should be calmer? Apparently, I lied. And the next few aren’t looking any better. Anyway, dinner will be rechauffe pizza OR rechauffe veggie scramble OR Costco chicken which I just bought today, but I did already have some for lunch. So glad to hear scrapmaven is feeling peppy, Mr. **GypsyGirl** is greatly improved, and rymeswithpurple is getting somewhere with her quest for answers. jeremysgirl, it is heartening to hear you’re going to get together with Chloe. Hope it goes very well for both of you. scrappintoee, enjoy your visit with your girlfriends. Life is so much better with friends. A belated happy birthday to you, hutchfan. Just for the record, I’ve never had a bad reaction to a COVID vaccine or any vaccine, really. In case people are interested, remember that 5yo? He’s 15.5 now and went to Homecoming with his girlfriend last weekend.

Sounds like your dh is doing better, mentally, as well. jeremysgirl, ITA w/ **GypsyGirl**. The move is so important. You've been through way too much and a new place w/new scenery will be very healing. leannec, a date w/a guy you know might prove to be quite nice. Have fun and let us know how it goes. Enjoy the weekend, my lovelies.

I’ve never had a bad reaction to a COVID vaccine or any vaccine, really Have you had the second Shingles vaccine? If you have and didn't have any side effects, my hat is off to you!! It put me under for a few days and my arm for a few weeks/month.

lucyg ....Hi, I was missing you! Kinda jealous that you're busy living your best life! OF COURSE we're interested in the former 5-year-old and that he went to Homecoming with a date! The years reallllly fly by, don't they? Aunt Toee still thinks of her adult niblings (nieces and nephews) as toddlers, and they love it when I imitate their CUTE voices when they were so little. scrapmaven .....I am REALLY happy for you to have some PEP! Your favorite angel nurses are watching over you having PEP and they are soooo incredi-BULL-y happy for you! Thanks for your comment--- . Althougggh, I have to admit, I'm getting nervous and tempted to cancel (again! ). I was out running errands earlier, and got out of the car the "wrong" way, and my damn hip feels like it is TORN *again!*. BUT---the positive side is, they'll just come to my house and we'll still have the best time! No restaurants or shopping for fun Halloween stuff required.

It put me under for a few days and my arm for a few weeks/month. Yes, I’ve had it, and didn’t have any problems. Possibly a sore arm for a day or two, but nothing that has stuck with me. scrappintoee, I’m just so grateful you’re back with us.

sueg ....Oktoberfest in your city sounds SO fun! I had to smile at this comment - my city is the home of Oktoberfest - it is literally where it all started. In fact, in Bavaria, it is the ONLY Folk festival that can be called Oktoberfest, and is the largest Folk Festival anywhere. So yes, it's a lot of fun, but also has a lot of tradition that is so important to the locals. DH has been to Germany, and he loved it. He has always wanted to take me. Hopefully once I get better, we can finally go! We definitely need to go in October! If you want to go to Oktoberfest, please don't visit in October! Despite the name, Oktoberfest begins in September, and ends on the first weekend of October (or Oct 3rd, if that's a Monday or Tuesday), so it can end between Oct 3rd and Oct 7th. Curious if anyone here at the dinner table has been to Wurstfest in New Braunfels? If not, PLEASE go for DH and me and enjoy the cherry and apple strudel, sausages, reuben sandwiches, potato pancakes, etc. Oh yea....and the music! Also, be sure and do the chicken dance and sing along to "In Heaven, there is no beer....that's why....we drink it here! " A lot of what you mention here is soooo different to what happens here! No chicken Dance, no Ruben sandwiches, and the lyrics you mention sound like English words sung to a popular tune here, that celebrates the state of Bavaria! Bayern, des samma mir Bayern und des bayerische Bier Bayern, jawoi, des samma mir Bayern und des bayerische BierAnd in Englsih: Bavarians, thats what we are Bavaria and the Bavarian beer
