I've been having my orders saved since June, I think---I had to wait longer than I normally would because beyond meeting the $129 free shipping mark, I had pre-order items. So now this box arrived yesterday evening and I saved it for today. I can't even remember all I ordered, which makes the whole "unboxing" way more exciting! I'm like a little kid at their own birthday party, eyeing up the gifts in anticipation!

My pre ordered all came in but I am releasing mine next month. I have a mix of non seasonal items, Christmas items, and Halloween items. I have hit the half off which is good enough for me.
The cool thing about this is that I can order a few papers and not pay too much to ship them. I can just tack them on the larger order.

I haven't used that option yet, but it would probably take me over a year to add enough stuff to meet the $129... I just added all my past orders up to see when it hit that number and it was somewhere in early 2023. Maybe I need to make larger orders and stop making small ones throughout the year.
I did order some stuff at the end of July that is still not in (Vicky Boutin) and I will have a bit of Christmas morning because I forgot what else is in there.

The cool thing about this is that I can order a few papers and not pay too much to ship them. I can just tack them on the larger order. This is what I love. I don't have to feel like my only choices are to pay $5.99 for $6.00 worth of papers OR to come back later when I want something else, only to find those papers have now sold out. I also like that it allows me the opportunity of buying more things on sale. If inks are 20% off one day, and I'm running low on 2 ink pads, then shipping those out alone kind of kills the deal, in my mind, kwim? But now I can buy the ink on sale today, and if adhesives are 10% next week, I can save on three of those, too. And then a few weeks later if I notice I'm running low on purple paper options, I can scroll through the clearance section and see if I can buy a few purple papers. And I imagine it might work out well for ACOT, too. Normally, I only shopped at ACOT when I had one or two lines where I wanted several items each, or if I needed a new album and pages, so I felt like I was getting my shipping fee's worth. So I'd go to someplace like Michael's or Target for adhesive, or tack an ink pad on to an Amazon order. And this was the first time I ever bought non-scrapbooking items from them as well--some needles and embroidery thread, which I always bought locally before since mailing something so inexpensive & light seemed silly to me. Now, for as long as they keep offering this, I'll just keep buying everything from them. I don't have to feel as badly about the environmental impact of buying online because they're shipping to me once now instead of 5 or 6 times. And I can't imagine I'm the only person who will now buy more from them.

I love the new "hold" option. I love that I don't miss out on anything (in the past, I put something in my cart and by the time I met the shipping minimum and was ready to place the order, one or more of my items were "out of stock" and I missed out on that item). Budget wise, it's easier for me to spread out the spending over a couple-few months, rather than do the whole $139.00 minimum all at once. The hold and pay, then wait until the free shipping minimum is met, is the best thing ever. I am so happy that ACOT, starting offering that. Edited to add: I don't mind waiting longer to get my products. It will be a good mail day, once I meet the minimum and the package arrives. Something to look forward to.

Mine is also on the way.
I started it July 26.
I don't think I'll wait for free shipping again. I'll go with 50 or 75% off.
Who knows what's in it! Ha. I need to be careful in the future with pre-orders. I bought some, then when they were new in the shop I almost bought them again. Luckily I double checked.

I like when I open my box and don't remember all that I ordered! I definitely save the box for when I have time to enjoy it.

I have two that I am waiting for. I have preorders in both them. I’m not sure why a second one was started. Once i hit the minimum threshold my next order started toward another hold order.

Yeah, that’s one part I hope they fix. Keep the order open until it ships. Although with preorders I guess that could go on forever.

I imagine they'd be sitting around with an awful lot of sold merchandise on hand if they didn't automatically ship once you hit the free shipping mark. My order alone had over 100 separate items in it. (90% was just individual 12x12 paper sheets.)

What I was saying is that when I have a preorder that hasn’t arrived yet, and place a new order of in-stock items, I wish it would be included with the batch waiting for the preorder to arrive. Instead, they cut it off and start a new batch.

I am curious, if there is an expiration date or time frame in which 'hold orders" have to be completed. Hopefully Matt at ACOT can answer that.
I was just wondering, because I have a few orders on hold, I am about $10-12 away from free shipping, but there's nothing I currently want to order.....so I'm just waiting until some new things are added to the "pre-order" category. I would rather wait until there's something I want, rather than fill my cart with random product just to meet the minimum. Now I am wondering, how long can multiple orders be on hold for.
Just a "what if" >> what if there's nothing I want until spring....that would put me at 7-8 months of being "on hold". That got me wondering if there are any policies or rules, in regards to hold time limits.

We don’t have a strict time limit on how long you can hold your orders. However, if we notice that an order has been on hold for more than a year, we'll reach out to you via email to check in and see if you still intend to order more or want to have everything shipped. In the event that we don’t hear back, we reserve the right to cancel your orders and refund you. Refunds for abandoned orders will be provided in the form of a customer credit."

I had looked for it once before, which is how I knew it was in the "Help Center" which is one of those little links companies keep at the very bottom of their webpages.

Ugh. I just realized that two of my items, two sheets of paper from cocoa somebody, are on pre-order so my order won't even ship yet.
Bummer.
It says coming in September and there are only a few days left in this month so I'm not too disappointed.

I have just been adding bits and pieces to mine, when I find something fun on sale, etc. I think no matter where I am with shipping (I am not anywhere near 139.00 yet) I will just hit ship around the 2nd week in December. Merry Christmas to me! lol...
