...lots of photos that your grandchild took when she "borrowed" your phone?
My granddaughter took my phone when I wasn't looking and took tons of photos with it. Photos like her sticking out her tongue, her sister, stuff around the house, etc. I think she took almost 100 photos!
We talked about it and she knows that I don't want her to use my phone without asking again, however the photos that she took really amuse me. I would love to find a way to scrap them in a fun way.
I was thinking about taking screenshots of the photos, (several actually to get all of the photos) and then using them in a layout, but I'm wondering if there isn't a better way to scrap them.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I love what grammadee created. I had my both my grandchildren do something similar, LOL.
Another idea is to print 8 photos in 4x4, leaving one 4x4 square to journal about it, then create a simple grid layout.

I would pick a couple of your favourites to highlight on one side of a 2-page layout and then print a representative selection of the others either in 4x4 like mikklynn suggests or 3x3/2x2 or as a college 8x10 (or bigger if you can - I scrap 8.5x11 so 8x10 is as big as I've done)

I would print a bunch of them as wallet size, and do a two page layout. I would use several filmstrips on each page, with my favorites of all the photos. I would use (alphabet letters) word titles >> Shenanigans and Mischief, and stickers and embellishments >> phone, camera, smiley face, "moments" sticker, "I solemnly swear I'm up to no good" sticker, (alphabet letters) phone photographs, etc..

@ grammadee I love this! It feels like a kid frenetically shooting pics!

Like ScrapbookMyLife I would create a bunch of photo booth style strips. That would be an easy way to group together some of your favorite photos like selfies, her sister, the house.

I did a layoaut when my niece took mine "give a kid a camera..." and used 2x3 and trimmed down photos.

I did a digi LO like this and used multiple small photos. For what you are describing, I would pick 2-3 photos to highlight in larger format then use multiple small photos in the background, either like contact sheet printing and maybe use film strips to put the small photos in. Possibly make a like a border with film strips/small photos. Or can use a flip attachment to add more layers of photos too.

I did this one back in 2012. You could still use the Polaroid idea and fit in more photos.

Depends on how many of the photos I wanted to use. I would print them 2x2 or 3x3 and do a grid layout with the photos as the background. Then enlarge a favorite and put that on top of the grid with my title and journaling.

I would get out a pair of scissors and some adhesive and go old school collage… cutting out all the highlights from the pictures (I’d print them at 2x2” size or 3x4” at the biggest) and I’d fill in the blanks (if there are any!) with random embellishments just to highlight all the crazy 🤭

I'm not sure if this will be a double post or not. I replied to this thread but it didn't show up... Weird!
Thank you for all of your fun ideas! I can't wait to incorporate them into my LO once I get the photos printed. I will have to play with the idea of a grid or photo strips. Both seem fun to me!

How about making a mini-album iamcaro? You could gift it to her at a later time.

I might do a polaroid grid like this or a grid with 2" pictures [a href="http:// "]like this.[/a] I would choose my favorite out of all the pictures. I wouldn't feel like I had to use all of them. Just the cutest and funniest ones.

Hi all.... long time no talk... but I'll do another post about that later...
I love the ideas here. One of my favorite children's books is "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie," and the whole series. I can't remember how many there are. So I'd read one of them, and do my journalling that way, using a lot of photos as described the posts above me.
If you give a kid a camera, they might...
Or since you didn't actually give them the camera it may be more like "If a Toddler Takes your Telephone you might find... "

I don't love this layout, I did it when I first started digital scrapping, and I will end up re-scrapping it at some stage, But the idea behind it could work well for your grand daughter's photos. You could use a photo of her holding your phone (or just a nice photo of her) to use as the main photo, then all the other photos on the strips could be the photos she took. My layout is actually a scraplift, but it was 6 years ago and I have no idea where I'd find the original.

Photo strips from Persnickety, then chose one enlargement on another page to tell your story.

I've done a couple like that -
On one side a grid layout of the "smile for gramma" pictures - on the other side an 8x10 of the decent picture. It was titled "All of that to get to this"
You could do a large picture of her - not necessarily from her photo shoot. On the second page a grid of her shenanigans. Title suggestion - When this girl met Grandma's camera. Or something like that.

Close To My Heart had a product called Flip Flaps that were made to add extra real estate to a layout. I think the 8x12 size is still available through Stamping Up. You can adhere them directly on top of a page protector.

I was using Canva this morning for a work project and stumbled across a frame of a cell phone. On Canva, frames are used for photos, etc and the image "snaps" to the frame. It would certainly be easy to create several on one document then print and cut out the frames. I wanted to share this with anyone looking for a way to add cell phone photos to a LO. I haven't made the one of my granddaughter yet, but this could be a fun element for it.
Thanks again for all of your fun suggestions! Everyone on this board is so creative!
