I remember when this happened but didn't pay that close of attention to it. This show is super hard to watch as are most Ryan Murphy/Brad Falchuck shows. If the abuse allegations are true, what these boys went through was sheer hell. They became sociopaths I believe to survive.
I'm on episode 7 and will probably finish today.

I couldn't get through it. Too much for me. It's a lot. I expected that it would be but man, I wasn't expecting it to be this tough.

I started the first episode yesterday. I’m not sure I’ll make it thru the entire series. I may end up listening to it in the background while I’m doing something else. I remember when this was in the news. I’m sure they were abused to the max. But it doesn’t justify killing.

Thanks for your thoughts on it. I might watch it. I remember when it happened, but don't know a lot of the facts.
On a different note, I just finished watching Beckham (late to the party) and boy I loved it. I didn't know anything about him really other than he was a good soccer player who was kind of handsome who married Posh Spice (probably how lots of Americans thought of him, lol).
I really loved watching him play, how hard he worked. I felt so bad for him when the entire country turned on him but how he persevered made me really like him.
I like that they're still together despite all that happened in their marriage when he was in Spain.
I hope he's not quite as bored still as he was when making this doc though. It broke my heart a little to see him puttering around the house fixating on his clothing hangers and walking around all stiff because his body hurts (for the record, so do I, lol).

I half watched and half just listened to it. I didn’t follow any of it when it happened so other than the basic facts, I knew nothing. I did end up feeling a bit saddened by Eric’s story and found Lyle to be disgusting in the way he thought so much of himself. When he was telling the girl on the phone, the one that wrote the book about him, how he was so pleased with his performance on the stand and how there were thousands of people that would let him live with them when he got out, even a priest. I actually laughed when they revealed that this woman who he thought was so into him had been scamming him for the book the whole time. The ego on him was just so inflated. As to the abuse, I’m not wholly convinced that they suffered all the sexual abuse that they claimed. I buy the verbal from the father, but after seeing how easily Lyle could lie and how he tried to get others to lie for him once he was in jail, I was just not completely convinced. And if it was true, they could have publicly ruined their father by going to the authorities with a tape recording of what the father was doing to them. There was no justification in killing them.

I could tell from the trailer that it was too intense for me. The only reason I even considered it was Nicholas Alexander Chavez was on General Hospital. Viewers were sad to see him go but cheering his success. The performances seem to be getting good reviews but the content is being criticized as inaccurate.

Does it get worse than the first episode? I watched I think three episodes Friday but haven't gone back to it yet.
I remember when it happened and it seemed like the abuse allegations came out of left field.

There are a few episodes that get very graphic about the sexual abuse that they may or may not have been victim to. That was worse than the first episode for me.

I still haven't watched ... I will!
On Facebook there is talk about episode 5 and a 32 minute monologue from the actor who plays Eric ... apparently is is amazing and award winning material ... I'm super interested in seeing it!
I guess I know what my plans are tonight!

I know almost nothing about the case and I'll probably watch this at some point. I did read an article today that said one of the brothers released a statement saying the doc is full of "blatant lies". So, like most things, I'll remember to take what I see with a grain of salt.

Just here to add that episode 5 is incredibly intense. And yes, the acting is some of the best ever.

Starting episode 3. Enjoying it while I sew! I don't think it's too much or whatever but I like all the AHS. Not sure what this says about me but, it's totally watchable.

I think knowing that it's Ryan Murphy gives you a hint that it might be disturbing because that's what he does. I enjoy all of his shows including AHS and all the way back to Nip/Tuck but it can be a lot if you're not familiar with his work.
