I teach second grade.
When I got to school this morning someone put a sassy little porch goose in a pumpkin costume outside of my room and I love her!
Like unreasonably love her.
I need a creative female goose name that is school appropriate. Any suggestions?

Greta Goose or Gerty Goose come to mind. Enjoy your goose!

I would call it Ducky, or Matilda.

Lucy. Lucy Goosey. If it was a boy it would have to be Ryan Gosling, LOL.

Does the name of your school, town or your last name start with G? If so you may find a way to incorporate that into the name

Is the porch goose trending now? I've seen a few come across my insta feed. A cute one I just saw was "beetlegoose". He had a little wig and striped pants. Very cute!

I'd ask the students to submit name ideas and see what they come up with!
My ideas: Georgie/Georgia Greta Waddleington Gabby Honksalot Bianca - but say BiHONKa Cardi Beak Wilma Waddlesworth Goosey Roll (like Jelly Roll) Beakatrice

We need pictures. I have no idea what a porch goose might be.

Pick some of your favorite names from these suggestions and have a student election. If you were so inclined you could make a mini lesson on voting. Not sure how old your students are.

I had to Google before I saw the picture that librarylady provided. I knew there were lawn ornaments of deer and flamingo and various critters but I didn’t know it was a thing to dress them up for the seasons. When I Googled there were links for places to purchase ready made outfits for them. I would have so much fun making my own outfits. One adorable picture had two of them in a dressed as Mary and Joseph in a little manger. I guess the limit is your own imagination. How fun!

Lots of people had dressed up cement geese back then. Along with the entire goose-themed kitchens and bathrooms! In Dusty Rose and Country Blue.

A home nearby has 3 geese strolling across the lawn. They have ensembles for every holiday. It is fun to see them.

I like Sassy. It's unlikely you will have a future student named Sassy embarrassed to share a name with your goose

I never saw a house with a single lawn ornament on display. Well, unless you count things like plastic reindeer at Christmas. It just wasn’t a Southern California thing.
