On Nov 5th, are you going to turn off all media and wait to see what Wednesday morning looks like, or will you be following the results closely on Tuesday?
I don't know what I am going to do. I will probably watch the results for awhile, but then eventually just turn it all off and wait and see. Especially if it seems close, I don't know if I can stand the suspense.

I'm all in. I'm going to follow closely. I went to bed last time trump won expecting to wake up to a hillary win. Instead, I woke up to my daughter poking me saying "Mom, he won" with complete horror. I don't think I'll be able to sleep, frankly.

I'm usually asleep by 9pm. I'll most likely view nothing until I wake up at 5 the next morning and read the news. My sleep schedule is way too important to my mental health so I try not to push myself beyond my bedtime unless I really have to.

Depends, at some point I’ll need to go to bed so that I can be rested for work the next day.

I’m not sure. In 2016 I had an awful feeling that Trump was going to win and I went to the mall to walk around for awhile. I don’t remember when I tuned in to see results. Probably later that evening. I’m not sure what I did I 2020. I will probably try to avoid watching anything until after polls close but for sure won’t be able to avoid hearing about results until Wednesday.

I'll follow along, even if it means going to bed crying, which has happened before. But i wouldn't be able to sleep for wondering, so there's point in me trying to wait till the next morning.

I will be following closely during the evening. I don’t have cable, nor any of the 24hr news on streaming, so luckily I won’t get sucked into all the discussions during the day.
This is one of the few times that being a left coaster is in my favor. Knowing myself, I’ll be up very late that night.

A friend is having a watch party that I'll attend, obviously hoping for a better result than 2016, where when the Thing won Florida, I went to bed feeling sick.
The hard part will be waiting for final results, which probably won't be election day.

I feel like I will watch the whole thing, depending how it is going. But if it runs late, it might be my bedtime. So who knows?

I really wish we had the following Wednesday off. I'm in bed by 8 - 8:30 because I have to get up so early for work. I probably won't be able to sleep that night. In 2016 I went to bed and had a nightmare that he won. Turned out to be true. Unbelievable, but true. I'll be watching the early returns, but then go to bed at my normal time and hope I don't toss and turn all night. Or have another true nightmare!!!

I know I shouldn't, but I'll be watching. I'm hoping it's a landslide and Harris is declared early.

We can take voting day off with pay at my company so I've already requested the day off. I will vote when early voting happens here in TX, but will have the TV on most of the day.
I wish I had that Wednesday off instead because I'm sure it will be a late night.

I can already feel a knot in my stomach just thinking about it. But I will be watching.

Didn't select an answer in the poll. I won't be glued to the TV but I will check results around 8pm my time (Pacific) and again when I wake up.
I won't allow the stress and anxiety of what could be to wrap me up and take me down.
I have pretty much blocked all political stuff on social media platforms. No need to subject myself to it.

I wish I had that Wednesday off instead because I'm sure it will be a late night. We only get a half day off on Election Day. I'd rather the day off on Wednesday too, or at least 1/2 day off so I can sleep in.

If I have any hope of getting any sleep and being even reasonably functional at work on Wednesday, I can't watch or read anything about it until I wake up Wednesday. And if it's at all like last time, we might not know for sure then. God I hope it's not like that and it's a clear win for Kamala right away.
Though it's possible I might wake up in the night and open my phone. But I always really try to avoid it until Wednesday.

I wish I could just wait until The next day but I know I will be glued. It would be much healthier to go to bed early and check in the morning it’s not like staying up will change anything.

Election Day is an holiday for me, and since I plan to vote early, a coworker and I are making a pilgrimage to our closest Costco (1.5 hours away).

If I try to follow the elections I will not sleep all night. I will watch some Netflix and take a Benadryl to help me sleep. I don’t want to deal with all the stress.

I'll probably be in normal "watching too much newsish programming" mode, but I'm guessing we won't hear the end of it for a long time.... Hoping it's such a blowout for VP Harris that there's no point in disputing it, though.

I will not be able to sleep so I will be watching. I went to bed think Hillary would pull it off and was wrong so now I have a fear.

This Aussie will be following the results closely on the Tuesday. Back in 2016, I had it up on my computer at work, and watched it all day, and also when I got home. I distinctly remember my feelings of shock and disbelief as I watched it unfold. I even took a screenshot: Don't f***ing let this happen again!

I'm afraid if I go to bed, we'll have another turn out like the last time. I went to bed thinking he surely can't win and woke up in a 4 year nightmare. I'm staying awake for the long haul this time!

To be honest, I don’t think a winner will be declared until Saturday or Sunday at the earliest. With the Georgia republicans changing their rules to a hand count of all ballots, this is going to be a shitshow.

My sister and brother in law are coming in for a few days. They live near Wash. DC and are very familiar with politics. My husband, me and the two of them have rented a little hous along the Mississippi River and we are going there for two nights. We're going to have a watch party. Eat, eat more, and watch tv for days! Can't wait! We already voted. Always do absentee ballot so I don't have to stand in a line.

I can already feel a knot in my stomach just thinking about it. But I will be watching. Same here. I actually have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday, so I am just taking the whole day off. I might take up day drinking on Wednesday. Either to celebrate or drown my sorrows. I sincerely hope we know the answer then. I am hoping against hope it will be a landslide for Harris/Walz, but I am fearful. I don't think I can stand another long drawn out event like 2020. The end result was worth the wait, but it was excruciating.
