We are going to be out of the country the week prior I could not be happier about that. I will have sent in my mail in vote weeks prior and already have received the two confirmation emails letting me know it has been received and has been counted.

You didn’t have “chronic diarrhea as you await results,” but that would be my choice.

I seem to recall when it was Trump/Clinton I went to bed with Hilary in the lead and woke up to what I thought was a joke and couldn't believe he won.
I'm in Canada, so not as high stakes as you all - but we will pay attention for sure.

I can’t help myself. I will be following along all day. I am really hoping that Kamala has a wave of enthusiasm moving her along in those last couple of weeks. I am so tired of feeling stressed about Donald Trump.

My dh and I were just talking about this. He of course will be up until the election is called. On the phone with our ds from Georgia. lol. They each have a USA map where they color in the states as the results come in. For me... I'm not sure yet. I still remember with trump/Clinton, going to bed when it was starting to look hopeless, then waking up the next morning and looking at my phone. So I don't know...

I am a chief and run a polling site for our village. I will not get to see any info until after I run the tapes and go home. No media allowed on site.
Once home I will be watching!

I'm all in. I'm going to follow closely. I went to bed last time trump won expecting to wake up to a hillary win. Instead, I woke up to my daughter poking me saying "Mom, he won" with complete horror. I don't think I'll be able to sleep, frankly. ^^^ yeah, that. I need to know. I might not be watching it on tv, but I'll be on my phone or iPad as long as I can stay awake.

I teach piano until 7 on Tuesday nights, but I’ll be glued to the couch watching after that. Hoping for a victory so resounding that Georgia’s little ballot counting scam won’t matter. I think the Rs are seriously underestimating the effect the abortion issue will have on turnout and voting patterns.
I was pleased to see that some state senator in Nebraska nixed their attempt to return to winner take all instead of letting Omaha’s vote go to Harris.

I will be in Cancun. And yes, we have absentee ballots. I will be looking at the phone all day and night. And praying.

I can already feel a knot in my stomach just thinking about it. But I will be watching. Same here. I actually have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday, so I am just taking the whole day off. I might take up day drinking on Wednesday. Either to celebrate or drown my sorrows. I sincerely hope we know the answer then. I am hoping against hope it will be a landslide for Harris/Walz, but I am fearful. I don't think I can stand another long drawn out event like 2020. The end result was worth the wait, but it was excruciating. I have to work for a few hours on Wednesday morning, but I will be watching when I get back. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is quite a bit of day drinking. If Trump loses, I will be wondering if we are finally rid of him.🙏🏻

When Trump won the last time, I was up half the night writing a paper for class and following election results. It was horrible and stressful.
This time I hope to ignore it and find out in the AM. It’s going to be dreadful.

I have two friends flying in and we will scream, cry, freak out, and celebrate together. This is our 3rd presidential election together.

Just thinking back to when election night was maybe interesting and important but not a matter of such nail biting and anxiety. Those were the days!

I’ll watch unless things start looking dark. I remember in 2016 when I realized what was happening. Decided to go to bed instead of getting blind drunk. I have no expectation of any race being called that night, but will be interested enough to see what is happening on the east coast to tune in for a bit.

In 2016 I watched in growing horror, and eventually gave up and turned on a movie. (Suffragette… I needed something to remind me how far we had come!)
In 2020, I was in Hawaii, and celebrated more and more as the night went on.
So this year, I guess I’ll have a stock of both cocktails and whiskey, and we’ll see which one I drink depending on how things go. 😜

I don't think we will know right away. I am depressed over the amount of people in my state, North Carolina, that say they are still voting for Mark Robinson. WTF, people?

You didn’t have “chronic diarrhea as you await results,” but that would be my choice. Seriously. I will be up watching for a while. My DD and DH will probably lose interest and just check in with updates but I will be glued for a long while. Wednesday is usually a pretty light day for me so I will be all in Tuesday night. I don't think we will necessarily know by the end of the night but a girl can hope. I am a west coast girlie and would love it all to be called once the polls close out here but it has been a while since that has been happened. I am planning on buying some cheesecake. Either way, I will want it.
