(( hugs )) to everyone that needs them !!!! I can't read the threae right now, because I have a unusually busy day and evening. My sister and sister-in-law surprized us and road-tripped here to see us. We haven't seen them in wayyy too long!!!! I was sooo excited all day, went shopping to get them Fall flowers, wine, etc. They're cooking for us at their mod, Mid-Century-ish Air B & B. It's in the hipster/ artiste part of town, and they are loving it. BUT, rain is coming, and now every joint hurts, AND a barometric pressure headache. I reluctantly MIGHT cancel, and I am FURIOUS at this pain! This pain and other several other medical issues are why we haven't been able to travel to see them in so long. P.S....Only wish all the niblings (nieces and nephews) could have come, too. OMG, how I've misssed them!!!

I’ve finally finished packing except for my hearing aid charger which I need tonight and will throw it in the suitcase before I leave. I’m sure I won’t sleep well tonight as I need to be up at 2:30 am to be at my friends by 3:30 am to drive to the airport.
I probably won’t be in the board much until I return home.

karenlou Sending prayers for your friend and her family. How devastating for them. jeremysgirl Your attitude rocks. The perfect job will arrive at your (hopefully beach) doorstep when the time is right. If not this one then an even better one. I just finished my day with Norah and I smell! She was extra successful in the hit Grammy with spit up game today. I don’t care at all because she makes me laugh all day with her antics. She is getting to be a character. Dinner is who the heck knows with a very cold bottle of craft beer to go along. Have a great evening everyone.

karenlou, Pam is in my thoughts. One of my very closest friends was just diagnosed w/ovarian cancer. It's all over her abdomen. We can be a soft place to land and encourage them to focus on happy moments now. My heart goes out to you. jeremysgirl, I'll think good thoughts for the outcome that you want. taylortroop, have a great cruise. Enjoy every moment and enjoy the food. **GypsyGirl**, can't wait to see you either. scrappert, don't be hesitant to see a therapist if you need some extra support. You're grieving your dad and grieving your eyesight. Don't feel guilty that your sister is doing the heavy lifting. You cannot do it and your sister loves you.

karenlou I am really sorry to hear about your friend Pam’s diagnosis. And also your dear friend scrapmaven. How very sad. 😔 It was my son’s birthday (yes, two days after mine!) so I made his favourite dishes: Philly Cheesesteak, and buffalo chicken mac & cheese. So many calories! I also cooked a marinated butterflied chicken as DD doesn’t eat red meat.

jeremysgirl you must make those potatoes!! I didn't do any of the "fancy" sauces just her Ranch dressing. I had to show great restraint to not eat the entire pan.

We are having Costco chicken, roasted, organic yellow beets (and there are tons), salad with evoo and balsamic vinegar, grape tomatoes and carrots. Anything uneaten is up for grabs later or tomorrow.
Today was a great day! Wishing great things for all of us! Bon appetite!

another beautiful day... off to thrift store for some work out clothing.. I'm getting a massage tomorrow at a local gym/spa and can use the gym all day. going swimming today. and off to dinner to celebrate 41 yrs of marriage!! yeah. frustrated with dh this morning. he was listening to music last night and the sound system is so complicated, I can't figure out how to switch from the sound system back to tv. have to wait til he wakes up!! PS: he got up and agreed it was complicated!!! PSS: something is not right and he is trying to figure out what is wrong.. it is not just me. he will solve it cause he is that kind of person. I feel your pain! Grandkids come over and play Xbox or Playstation or whatever and I cannot figure out how to get it back to normal! Dinner was salmon, baby potatoes and spinach. One of our employees went out on a couple fishing trips and brought us back some fresh salmon and some tuna!
