I only use panty liners. I am happy with CVS brand and Walgreens brand panty liners.

I’ve always purchased the target and Walmart generic brands of pads and tampons.

There is something different about the Target brand of tampons than Tampax. I have an itchy reaction to Target brand. I've never tried any other kind of generic after that. I stick to Tampax. With that said, I also have incredibly sensitive skin.

I have no idea. It just occurred to me that despite trying generics for pretty much every other product under the sun, I am extremely product loyal when it comes to menstrual products. I have been using/buying the same brands, and when possible, the same exact products for 35+ years now. (As a side note, "Hello! Mother Nature?? Are you there? Isn't 35+ years plenty of time? Do I really need to continue with this?" )

I think it depends - I'm past that stage now and was primarily a menstrual cup user for the last 2 decades anyway. But my girls use store brand pads and haven't complained. Only one of my DDs uses tampons and she is brand loyal to OB but I'm sure if she found an applicator-less store brand tampon, she would give it a try.

I haven't used them since my hyst in 2011, but yes I was very brand-loyal and no, generic wasn't up to snuff IMO. Beggars can't be choosers in an emergency, but I definitely had my brand preference because they worked best for me.

I have grabbed liners from The Dollar Tree that are in the same packaging as the Honey Pot brand. They do just as well as, I assume, the name brand.

Before my hysterectomy in 2020, I found that I needed name brand pads to semi-control the crime scene flow. Store brand didn't do it, and forget about tampons of any kind. They were useless.

Absolutely not. Name brand has been better for me.

I had a hysterectomy 5 years ago but used to use name brand products such as OB and Always. I was willing to pay more to be sure that the crime scene stayed in place.

Dd only uses organic, dye free, perfume free, whatever else free pads from Sprouts. Forgot the brand name. All other brands cause hives.
I haven't worn a pad in...6 or 7 years (team IUD)

I buy a lot of store brand items but that is one thing that doesn't seem comparable, IMO. Which is unfortunate because they are so expensive.

Needs are so varied unique that I don't think there will be one answer.
I can only survive with the Always Infinity pads on the first couple of days of my cycle. (pretty sure that was a Pea recommendation) I don't mind the Safeway pads for the remaining days, which does save a little money.

I'm brand loya on that front. Also hoping to not need them much longer at the age of 54.

With that said, I also have incredibly sensitive skin. I'm with jeremysgirl on this one. I have to take steps not to upset the delicate balance of my neitherregions and therefore only use certain name brand products. I also can't wear anything but 100 percent cotton underwear. Which means I have a lovely array of organic "granny panties" from Duluth trading.

I only use panty liners. I am happy with CVS brand and Walgreens brand panty liners. The Walgreens ones are what Carefree used to be before the 'upgrade.' They aren't quite as good as the old Carefree but a decent substitute.

I went to Target and they did not have store brands, so I just bought an assortment of pads, liners and pads. Feminine products are on the list of things needed for western NC.

I was 52 and ended up with an IUD because of major bleeding each month. I never tried generic because name brand could barely keep up, I was terrified of generic not working. I just had a hysterectomy a week ago and it's no longer a worry for me, but dd is just a teen and I always get name brand for her. I don't take a chance with an accident for her.

My flow was so heavy as a teen and young woman. I'd wear a tampon and a pad (with wings, when they were introduced), and still cross my fingers.

I was an always girl and playtex when I swam. I’m 50 and been done with that stupidness for 2 years.
My dd is 13 and took my leftovers and has decided those are good for her too.
Brand loyal here.
