This is not who do you WANT to win, but who do you THINK will win the presidential election on Nov. 5th?
I watch lots of left leaning YouTube videos, and I read the mainstream news stuff on Yahoo. It makes me confident Harris will win. But then I go over to FoxNews to see what they are talking about, and I get worried. I truly don’t know, as of today, who will win.
Maybe I’ll ask the same question two weeks from now.

I think Harris will win, by a similar margin that Biden won by in 2020. Mind you, I was absolutely certain that Hillary Clinton would win, so......

I'm actually adopting the head-in-the-sand stance, which wasn't one of your poll choices. I don't want to think about it, and I don't want to hear about it. I've done what I can (postcards mostly, and contributions to Harris's campaign), I'll vote this week (I'm working all week but there's no school here on Rosh Hashanah so dh and I are going to vote), and I'll block out all the news until election day.

I'd like to hope Harris will win. But I will say this. I have worked in campaigns before and one thing I have never seen is a losing candidate that runs again gain any votes. I don't think Trump will pick up anything and could quite possibly be losing support. It really is a matter of whether Kamala can get the number of voters that Biden did to turn out. I think if every eligible voter voted then it would be a landslide for her. So for her I really feel it is about turnout. He needs to maintain and I really feel like that's the best he can do.

I'm with Jeremysgirl. I think Kamala & Tim will win with a bigger margin than Biden did. Despite all their efforts, trump's team is very cringe right now. Yes, there are still those who will hold on to his coattails til the end, but I think he's lost a lot of his supporters. I don't think they will vote for HER, because of principle. But I don't see them holding their nose and voting for him.
Now, her campaign worries me. Her ads on FB are all that the race is close. He's outspending them. Send us money now. It reeks of desperation and makes me very worried. If they are going by the polls, then they need to stop doing that. I don't think many have actually participated in polls. I refuse to because then I get bombarded with emails/texts/etc. I think a lot of people feel the same way. I'll be voting early this year. And be on pins and needles until Nov 5th.

My concern is that people will get too confident that their candidate will win, and will lose the sense of urgency about voting. So I actually would prefer when the media is telling people the race is close.
I feel like the first time with Trump, too many people viewed him as a joke who would never win, and perhaps opted out of casting a vote for Clinton. And we know what happened there. So I just want all Democrats to go forth with the idea that the race is very, very close, and that they should not only vote themselves, but stress the importance of voting to others, as well.

I look at our choices and think there is no way Trump will win...but then I would have thought that when he one in 2016.

I think Harris will win. I'm not convinced that the Republicans will allow her to take office - whether through cheating at the polls, contesting election results in concert with state legislatures, the house refusing to certify, or outright violence. They know this is the last gasp for their orange leader to avoid prison, so they will stop at literally nothing.

After I was sure Hilary would win and was severely disappointed, I'm not venturing an opinion. We got it so wrong in 2016 that I don't trust any polling these days.

Unless something major happens, I don't see Trump picking up any more votes or states than he had against Biden.

I know who I *want* to win, but honestly, I have no idea, and also don't want jinx it by saying anything. (Perfect to add that as a choice to your poll, BTW-- I'm surprised it doesn't have more votes, lol.)
I thought I knew- I was hopefully confident that Hillary Clinton would be our first woman President; I figured there was no WAY DJT could possibly pull a win out, being as big of a sleazebag as he is. But he did... so this year, I really have no idea.

I am pretty sure Harris is going to win the popular vote by a landslide, and the electoral by a modest to moderate amount. People have to show up and of course, nothing is ever for sure, but I look at it this way, I don't think there are people who voted for Biden who are now going to vote for Trump---he isn't gaining anyone.

The thing I’m thinking is that since he was in office last, a LOT of his supporters died of Covid. Those are all people who can’t vote for him again. I can’t imagine that he has picked up enough new people to make up the difference, especially with all the crazy they’re currently displaying at the rallies, in the news clips and YouTube videos.

I'm a LOT more hopeful than I was before Biden dropped out, I'll just say that.

I'm a LOT more hopeful than I was before Biden dropped out, I'll just say that. Me too!! I voted I don't want to say and jinx it. I know who I want to win. And I know that if Trump wins, I will have to bury my head in the sand for four years and not watch the news, or watch it infrequently, because I am sure my mental health cannot handle another 4 years of listening to Trump. I live in a very red area, and I see Trump/Vance signs in so many yards. Rarely do I see a Harris/Walz sign.

I was listening to the John Heilemann podcast Impolitic , Nate Silver was explaining how close the election was right now , he believes that Kamala is in better place then Trump but that it’s not a done deal . I really hope she win .

I have ZERO faith in the American public so I’m planning for the worst.
In general, I believe Americans are low IQ, lack critical thinking skills and are too wrapped up in instant gratification to think about how what happens today effects us years later.

I know who I want to win. I hope that she does win. However, in the back of my mind, I think even if she does, it is not going to be an easy nor pretty win. I don't think we will know by the time we go to bed that night. I also think there will be so much rumbling in the winds if she does, that it will cast doubt.
I've been on TT this weekend and seeing the devastation in NC. The idiots who keep saying the gov't is doing nothing or is FINALLY doing something. When TN wasn't really in the mix of storm tracking at the beginning. No matter what these voices will continue after the election.

Mind you, I was absolutely certain that Hillary Clinton would win, so...... I won’t hazard a guess. Following a hope for the best, prepare for the worst situation. Thought the same as Aussie Meg. He is terrible; yet, people like him. The grift is obvious: coins, shoes, flags, digital trading cards 🙄, etc…

(Perfect to add that as a choice to your poll, BTW-- I'm surprised it doesn't have more votes, lol.) LOL! I think about jinxing things a lot by speaking too soon, especially sports. But, it does now have the single most votes, and it is almost tied with the two Harris categories.

I can’t make a prediction. It should be “by big.” But the people who will end up making the difference will be the non-motivated voters. Whether they show up or not. And any hiccup, distraction or whim could make the difference between casting a vote or not. A person could get sick, chose to work an extra shift, invited to lunch by a friend, traffic was bad and I have kids to get home to and oops, guess I didn’t have time to vote. Or oh, was voting today?

Those people would still be voting for Trump even if Kamala herself had pulled up in a yacht filled with therapy dogs, life vests, and a catered buffet and rescued the entire state by herself. So, whatever.
