Since no one seems to be interested in the definition of masculinity I’m changing the topic to Democrats and Republicans.
As to the poll I could have put a third choice of neither but decided no to because the reality is it’s either the Dems or GOP governing and there is no third choice IMO.

I don't know when/if it was different but at this time it is pretty clear to me that Republicans really don't have intentions or ability to govern and be true leaders. They are only interested in culture wars and riling up their base but not actually solving any problems or showing any morals and ethics, starting with telling the truth about Trump.

I happen to think this country does better with 2 political parties that want to govern.
Sadly at some point in the last 20 or years the Republicans appeared to no longer govern and decided they wanted the power winning elections give them, especially if they are the majority party.
That is when the gerrymandering started followed by voter suppression laws. trump came along and speeded up whatever plan the Republicans had. And when trump attempted to steal the 2020 election while the effort failed Republicans in state legislatures learned what needed to be done not to fail the next time. Which is just shy of 40 days from now.
On another thread the question was asked “I vote because”. Many said it was a privilege but it’s a right and a duty IMO.
And the Republicans are trying to take that right away from many Americans for the simple reason they see them standing in the way of getting the power they crave.
Daily Docket is a newsletter Marc Elias Law Firm puts out. His firm handles are large chunk of the law suits. Here’s an example of what is in the newsletter…
Democrats sue over Georgia’s ballot hand counting rule
Democrats sue Georgia election board over ballot hand counting rule
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Georgia Democrats sued the State Election Board today to block a new rule passed by MAGA board members that requires poll workers to hand count Election Day ballots. Democrats argue that the rule violates state law and could delay results.
The DNC and state Democratic Party also filed a lawsuit against the board last month over two rules that could delay election certification. A bench trial in the case is set for tomorrow.
California governor signs law to ban local voter ID requirements
California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed a bill to bar local governments from imposing voter ID rules that go beyond the state's requirements. The move is in response to a local Huntington Beach ID law, which state officials are challenging in court.
Arkansas city will have an early voting site after today’s ruling
An Arkansas judge ordered West Memphis to open an early voting site at a local church after county officials failed to establish any early voting locations in the city for elections this fall. The voters in the majority-Black city initially requested at least two early voting locations.
Pennsylvania voter challenges state’s voter roll maintenance
A Pennsylvania voter filed a lawsuit on Friday alleging the state is violating the National Voter Registration Act by not properly maintaining its voter rolls ahead of the November election. This case is the 31st lawsuit filed this year targeting voter rolls.
Pro-voting groups defend Nevada counties from right-wing lawsuits
Pro-voter organizations stepped in to defend four Nevada counties from right-wing lawsuits trying to require the counties to process tens of thousands of voter challenges, saying the move would cause “electoral chaos” as ballots are already being sent out.
SCOTUS could review GOP challenge to Biden’s executive order
The U.S. Supreme Court began its “long conference” and is reviewing petitions submitted since the end of the last term, including the Pennsylvania GOP's challenge to President Joe Biden's executive order expanding ballot access.
The Court could announce Monday whether it will decide to weigh in on this case and others that have been filed over the summer.
Meet candidates running against election deniers
At least 42 candidates across six battleground states have been recruited by Contest Every Race to challenge far-right extremists in local elections this November — all united by a sense of obligation to protect democracy.
Emily Tseffos is running against Wisconsin Rep. Dave Murphy (R), who has served in the General Assembly since 2013 and is a known election denier. Read here to meet the other candidates.
According to the newsletter there have been 104 pro-voting and 117 anti-voting suits have been filed. So far 199 have been won and 84 lost.

So what is trump’s agenda? Anyone know? Does he even have one that last longer than a second?
From Harris’s website….
“Cut Taxes for Middle Class Families Make Rent More Affordable and Home Ownership More Attainable Grow Small Businesses and Invest in Entrepreneurs Take on Bad Actors and Bring Down Costs Strengthen and Bring Down the Cost of Health Care Protect and Strengthen Social Security and Medicare Support American Innovation and Workers Provide a Pathway to the Middle Class Through Quality, Affordable Education Invest in Affordable Child Care and Long Term Care Lower Energy Costs and Tackle the Climate Crisis”
You may not agree with all of it. But when you look at it, it’s geared to helping Americans. And not just a few.
And trump has offered what?

The Republicans aren’t governing at all. They are causing chaos to keep things so stirred up nothing can get done.

How can you govern when you clearly hate government?
