I've found that if I have something on my neck it keeps me really warm. I love a good vest with the collar on my neck, that and keeping my torso covered really helps. I don't know how you'd feel about wearing a scarf, but they are really great for keeping warm too.

This was the view from my 20" ceilings with a wall of windows facing the lake. I know what drafty windows are. Since I am the resident expert here, I would also suggest the 3/4 zip fleece pullover shirts from Land’s End. You can also wear them under a vest. This is my uniform from November to April.

Lands End sells silk long underwear which is nice, but not cheap. I just looked at a scoop neck top and it is on sale for $55.00. I have bought Cuddle Duds, and they are warm and a lot cheaper. I have some thin scoop neck tops, and one thin fleece one, and they are warm. I got them at Kohls, which also sells Lands End Thermaskin long underwear(not silk, but warm).

This. I have a couple of fleece vests and I love them on really cold days. They are not very stylish, but I don’t care. They are quite warm.
